Have the feeling that humanity as we know it is on the verge of collapse (lack of resources, fuel, war and climate change) . Smaller developing nations will initially take the brunt of it. Looks like it has already begun with Sri Lanka, soon to be followed by other poorer nations.

It won't be curbed until the population significantly reduces.
There's enough for everyone's need, not for everyone's greed.

It’s not so much about population size in my opinion. More about sustainable practice.

To do anything now, if it would even work at this stage, would take collective human action on a scale we have never even come close to achieving in the history of our species.

Generally speaking, we can't comprehend complex macro problems and even those of us who do accept that human-driven climate change is real and happening don't fully grasp the severity of it.

Those that do will simply never be able to effectively communicate it to jobbers who consider their own opinions to trump those of experts who have tirelessly researched this, and whose intellect and understanding of the crisis is completely, laughably beyond them.

Basically, we're effed. The only thing we can do is sit back and watch as we pulverise the lovely planet we've been given and listen to the denialist bellends say things like "bUt wE HaD a HeaTwAve iN NinEtEen DiCkItY FiVe". Have a lovely day
Cheers man

Heard something mentioned that wars will be fought over food production and not oil in the not so distant future.

Also it conveniently ignores the simple fact that certain parts of the planet are starting to become unsuitable to sustain human life. That is a big problem which will have a huge knock on effect.

Climate change induced migration will be a thing in the coming years. That will please the oldies I’m sure.
Why would that please anyone? I don't know anyone who does not think that climate change is real. If you know people who doubt it you should spend your time convincing them otherwise. How many climate deniers are there on this forum do you think?

still does not mean overpopulation is not a thing. there should be at most 5 billions of us.
Absolutely. Saying it is not the population but the practice/greed is pointless as the practice will not change and the numbers continue to rise, 8 billion soon and 9 billion forecast in the near future. It is ALL about the overpopulation.

As someone else stated above, for every good (proactive) human there appears to be many deniers/trumpist/jobbers who undo any good work ten fold.

Oh, I do. But some people are beyond help and refuse to listen, unfortunately.

I know quite a few, and we have quite a few denialists on here
They’re the worst. People so smug in their own knowledge whilst massive scientific consensus says otherwise.

Even if, for some reason, we’re all wrong, I fail to see what major damage is caused. There was that poster on here Barry Rathbone, who said we could use the money saved from carrying on as normal to treat cancer.

So if I’m wrong then we have wasted some time or money on resources that are hardly detrimental to future human living and development. If he’s wrong we have a load of people living longer in an environment that will not sustainable for living in.

Think he was a paid up bot as saw him doing the same on toffeeweb lol

Utter bloaters

Like who? I'm not aware of many if any people on here who deny climate change. It is very easy to make cosy assumptions about older people and issues such as climate change. I am in my mid-sixties as are most people I know. As I said earlier I don't know anyone who does not think climate change is real.
