speaking of nationalities, did you know, and this not a lie,

that's it legal to shoot Welsh people in Hereford on a Sunday, although this states it must be with longbows.

I guess anything else would constitute attempted murder, so don't try it.


and also, honest truth,

it is legal to murder a Scotsman within the walls of York, but only on condition aforementioned Scots person is carrying a bow and arrow.

and it's any day but a Sunday.


Actual true ancient British laws still in effect, take it or leave it.
 
I feel fortunate that our international reputation with the common man abroad is still strong.

I've lost count how many times I've been called a 'gentleman' in Asia because I'm from England.

It doesn't answer the question but what the hell.

(To clarify my vote, I'm proud of a lot of things that England has produced but "being proud of being English" smacks of the the kind of opportunistic jingo-istic jerking off that "The Paper That Supports Our Boys" indulges in.)

its legal inside the chester walls, after midnight, for an english person to shoot at a welsh person with a cross bow, we can shoot back with a long bow
 
If I do something wrong, why should England take the blame?
If England does something wrong, why should I be blamed?

We are individuals, and have individual responsibility.

Bollox to being categorized.

Being English, or any other nationality, is not a team sport.

i thought that while they might still be in law they are over ruled by the more common murder laws we have now so you cant actually get away with them. And as for beingu proud of being english, i think its stupid but if people wanna do it its up to them, they just need to not get arsey when i dont share their view.

My ancestors who for hundreds of years were disenfranchised by sectarian laws which prevented them from voting, holding office or arms, holding property, horses etc. in their own occupied country and were murdered in their millions by English landlords who exported food during a famine would disagree with any sort of patriotism on the part of you English folk...

But we're sooo over all that now :lol:
