Polite request to people who are in possession of photographs of the body that are doing the rounds - do not post them here thanks.
How disgusting. Doesn't surprise me though. Hopefully they're fake - I remember fake ones purporting to be Kurt Cobain doing the rounds a while ago.

Cardiff trying to get out of paying the full fee after the agent admitted puffing up the price by creating fake interest from other clubs.

All a bit distasteful.

I might be wrong but I don’t think he’s admitted it per se other than it’s come out in emails , but it certainly seems that the case . I can’t imagine that’s the only time anything like that has happened in the world of transfers though.

Cardiff staff are at the funeral and giving interviews about the player being part of the family whilst simultaneously trying to avoid or chip at the fee . As you say it leaves a nasty taste .

A statue? Really? Something that will forever be outside the club for a player who (sadly) didn't kick a ball for them. Do you think any club would honestly do that? It's honourable of them to show their respects as they have but statues are OTT.

This isn't the same as Leicester losing their owner - a man who had an impact on not only the club but the city of Leicester. I'd fully expect them to erect a statue.
Cardiff probably consulted the rs as to what to do.

"Something way over the top and maudlin," came the reply, "then bring it up at every opportunity "

Agreed. Been acting like it is the biggest tragedy in their history while trying to avoid paying the fee. A very nasty taste.

All the more galling when Neil 'we need more English players and less foreign' Warnock is telling the media, "he was my player" while they withhold payments.

A terrible tragedy, for sure, but grief porn and mourning sickness at its worst.

There's some sick people out there although I read they're fake, but who would want to look anyway.

I remember years ago when those beheadings started, the website that was showing them took that many hits that it crashed. I mean seriously, who looks at those things.
Morbid curiosity

The way they are using what has happened to galvanise the squad and fans, gain sympathy and improve their overall situation whilst trying to avoid paying the transfer fee is sickening. If Everton were doing this I would be ashamed, I would even say I would protest as a fan. If you agree a fee, terns, etc and parade a player as "yours", holding up your clubs shirt then he is your player. To try to get out of paying for him because Cardiff had not registered him with the Premier league is, for me, disgusting. I hope they don't get away with it and I hope the footballing world turns on them.

It will be nice, if that term can be used, when this is all over with. A very sad story, yes, but it's over and done with now. People who knew him should be left to mourn in peace now, don't think it needs to be plastered all over the media any more.

I couldn't agree more. Mind you it's only a matter of time before the next bout of mass grief, whipped up by a drooling media.

Cardiff should be made to pay what they owe and immediately. Nantes may very well have spent money off the back of knowing they were going to receive this payment. If there is liability elsewhere they should then recompense Cardiff. The whole situation is awful. Cardiff are trying to get out of ownership of the player yet they want all sympathy going. A young man has lost his life another gentleman has more than likely lost his life and his family have no closure, yet all Cardiff seemed bothered about is getting out of paying.
