Its all games Dave, its all just one great big game of oneupmanship, or talking absolute crap in among a trickle of truthfulness.

I understand what you're saying. Moyes likes to play on his ability to operate on a shoestring. Elstone's comment on money spent this summer steps on Moyes' toes in that respect and he responded to it. That's one way of looking at it. But I dont get the impression Moyes is the type of character to cross. Imo, it wont be forgotten or forgiven. I'm not sure of the practical implications, but it's not good for the manager of the club to be at loggerheads with the CEO. We can all think of examples how that one has played out at other clubs.
The lines have been drawn, pick a side, at Dawn we ride.
Im not sure who's side Im on, can someone point me in the right direction please.

Lets be honest if Bob was CEO and we had a billionaire owner everyone would love him.
So if Bobs figures are more correct then Daveys does that mean Moyes is a liar!

You have to laugh really, some hate those who run that much that if we spent loads of money there would still be criticismof increaseing our level of debt, if we dont spend money we are not supporting the manager. Has to be said its entertaining stuff!

"Liar" behave, now that is spin, not really an exact quote is it? Its possible for two people to have a different opinion or expierence of things.
Whats the point in whipping up all this false drama, im sure Moyes and Elstone arent walking around the club bitching about each other and throwing daggers.
Lets be honest if the club had of invested the neg heads would be saying the club are burying themselves in debt, if they dont invest as much as people should then there not suppirting the manager - you cant really take those opinions seriously.
What concerns me is the manager has said a ) The team needs investment and b ) he hasn't had any.
What also concerns me is Moyes saying "We should be entitled to spend money, I will be pushing the board to spend more than just the Lescott money" - ignoring Moyes not gettin his own way here, its an entirely different tone than "I'll work with what I'm given" etc.
Am not surprised Moyes didn't take kindly to Elstone undermining his work.
