I just don't get all the cloak and dagger stuff with Everton. We are for sale, yet no one has taken us over, now all the money we have acquired/spent. Why cant we just get straight honest answers. Also just a quick point on the Lescott deal, we paid Wolves £240,000 from what we received from City. I know this as fact as a very good friend of mine Pat Mountain works for Wolves as goalkeeper coach. He's from Cardiff and I've known him for about 15 years so i take what he has told me as the truth.

And you do have to realise how we have to take that. Over the life of this forum, we have all heard from "someone who works for the club" or knows someone who works for the club....and it turns out to be completely false. And do you really think club finances are discussed with the GK coach? May as well invite the guys in the cafeteria to sit in on financial negotiations.

My point is in the press it was said we gave Wolves around £2m, but in truth we passed on nowhere near that amount.

What i hadnt considered before mate and Cannon touched on was that if Kirkby was selected for a World Cup - its is potentialy a massive money spinner in terms of naming rights - not only is it advertiseing in the most watched leauge in the world - possibly European exposure, but also in the worlds premier compitition - used probably in billions of mediams of media throughout the world.

That may be worth potentialy a hell of a lot of wedge.

Hold on though, the WC is only at the bidding stage...never mind the selection of a ground in Kirkby as a destination!! Cannon's point was pathetic. Projecting ahead like that might be how he earns his corn advising the gullible and plain stupid, but it wont wash when c ash needs to be put on the table when Everton have to ante up to pay for a stadium fit out in the here and now.
