I understand that Screech...
Again, what's set me off is that everything he's "upping" about the store applies tenfold to the ground issue and Kirkby has none of them mate.
Elstone June 09
"Theres an awful lot of work going on, we are talking to a number of players, a number of clubs and chairmen, we're in constant dialogue with the manager"
Wyness June 08
"We know the manager and his targets but a lot of things have to happen to get deals for the types of players we are looking for. Every day we are on the phone."
Elstone June 09
"but, you know, we absolutely recognize the need to strengthen, we are fiercely ambitious as everyone would expect us to be and everyone understands that we are, and if you're fiercely ambitious it's going one step further than 5th and going one step further than an FA Cup final."
Wyness June 08
Wyness last month confirmed that the Everton board would back up manager David Moyes’ call for the investment he needs to build on Everton’s progression in the Premier League in the past two years. Finishes of sixth and fifth in successive seasons have ensured Uefa Cup qualification and Moyes is currently working on securing the targets that will give him a fighting chance of maintaining, and even improving on, those standards.
Elstone June 09
Ronaldos transfer will raise prices across Europe, says that players like Glen Johnson being touted at £17m are proof of that
Wyness June 08
“The whole transfer market, each one is different in terms of the mood and tempo. It’s a slow market."
.....he's Wyness' protege, what did you expect? New excuses?

Lolz... hiya Happy!![]()
Oh come on
Everton 2 vs ???? 2 shops opened one either side of the Mersey
Ghana and American project vs ????? projects in Ireland and Thailand
Kitbag + LCS vs Umbro + JJB, no brainer Why? The LCS deal (£3M pa) compares less favourably with some of our nearest competitors.
Season tickets rising right up, he's working on promotions to fill out the stadium. Can't remember much of that from Wyness. Was Wyness around after the world recession took hold?
I know you can't stand complimenting the Everton board and backroom staff but jesus
Those things you highlight as improvements are a CEO's basic job. It's how they earn their corn. It's not a leap beyond what Wyness was doing.
There's nothing to be happy or sad about. It's just underlining it's business as usual. The 'Elstone's a big improvement on Bully' line is probably the most naive statement doing the rounds.

It's a good job I'm here.
Yeah, thank god for that!
No offense, but everything you post on here seems to have a negative spin on it. You say "It's just underlining it's business as usual", but it sounds more like you criticizing a member of the Everton hierachy. Again.![]()

He is, He always does. That's just his thing. Every club has is constant optimists, constant pessimists and constant critics.
Thats just the fan base Phil. Yes, Dave is always trying to put a negative spin on things, but thats just him. He seems like a nice lad at heart. Just cries a lot (couldn't resist Dave, sorry)
No offence taken, mate. As you say, we all have our point of view. Apparently for some, though, you cant have one. Or rather, you can have one, but then they reserve the right to respond to any point made by saying 'that's all you post about'. Ho hum.![]()

I love Daveyboy, he tells it how it is. He thinks like me, he sees what is holding us back and he isnt blinded by 5th place finishes and FA Cup Finals. He adopts the same Bullseye attitude as me.
If the board would spend some fricking money "LETS SEE WHAT YOU COULD HAVE WON".
The board have not invested 1 penny of their own money into the club. FACT
Certain memebers on the board have considerable funds they could invest. FACT
We will never be a success with the current board. FACT
Sooner or later, Moyes will get sick of that glass ceiling. FACT
Kirkby is a desperate attempt at making some money, for themselves. FACT
We are not for sale, Bill is only interested in keeping hold of his trainset and wants somebody to give him all the money and take no profit or indeed have any say in the running of the club. FACT
