In relation to the video you posted, the austerity politics of Milei would be incredibly unpopular in practice, Germany is generally regarded as having strong public services compared to many other countries, Why would Germans want said public services sold off to the highest bidder?

Angela Merkel did indeed destroy Germany with her open borders unlimited migration policy. I was outraged at the time and even more so now when I see the absolute state of the country.

Something drastic needs to change in that country to put it back on the right path, that's for sure. Another terror attack, who's surprised? Wonder how many people they'll throw in jail for voicing their opinions online?

Absolutely. Legal migration should always be welcomed, but it should always be limited. There are plenty of countries around. What Merkel did was a disgrace and a travesty, and I witnessed it first hand, as you correctly highlighted. Munich, where most of the illegal immigrants arrived or at least passed through, turned into a cesspit.

You do know that the Syrian doctors and medical professionals are so integrated in the healthcare system that if they all went back it would struggle or collapse.

Asylum seekers should always be welcome. There were plenty of German people welcoming them at the border. Angela Merkel definitely had a soft spot for them due to her East Germany origins and wanting to help those suffering is something to be applauded imo.

I can believe that. It was a fantastic place to live, just as long as you knew which areas to avoid.

It was those living in the nicer suburbs that I felt sorry for, their once lovely villages ruined by camps that had been set up nearby for mostly men that arrived and didn't have any intention of working, never mind integrating into society, all of their shops being looted, feeling unsafe in their own homes, etc.

Fleeing from war? No problem at all, Europe is massive and there is plenty of space for everybody to live safely. Don't open the doors to the whole world without so much as asking to see their ID, though. Not much to ask is it.
