Transfer Rumour Eliaquim Mangala

He’ll go 3 at the back, sit deep and absorb and hope to get at least one counter attack during the game
Agreed.
Amongst the rubble of discontent, i am always eager to see the views of a few in particular. You being one of them Christopher.
Mangala on loan: thoughts?

Lol at people queueing up to stick the knife in on a player they've probably seen play twice and formed their view. Last season he played 30 games on loan at Valencia. There are now two other teams trying to beat us to his loan signature: Barcodes :coffee: and.... Valencia. I'm guessing they have a deeper understanding of the man's abilities than the expert views on here...

Atletico Madrid wanted Sandro, that worked out well

I have no opinion on him as I haven't seen him enough, but I'm hoping a move can reignite his career and get the best out of him. You'd like to think City don't buy tosh, but then Jack Rodwell.

He's here to play left back until LB is fit then he'll play on the left hand side of a back 3. I do like a 352 but baines can't play wing back and a back 3 relies on a ball player who acts as almost the Gareth Barry type player. None of our centre halves look capable to me.

In all fairness the expectation is different there. He's a bit of a grock in a City side who play on the front foot for 90% of their games and by all accounts he isn't quite that type of ball playing defender.

We, first and foremost, need defenders who can defend. Would help if they were reasonably athletic to boot. Mangala does have those qualities, albeit he hasn't hit the heights that he did at Porto, but then he's still only 26. Think he came into City with the pressure of a big fee over his head and hopefully he'll feel like he has a second chance at Everton.

What's become evident with us, more than ever, is that we need midfielders who are actual ballers, particularly in the central positions that Schniederlin & Gueye occupy. Nzonzi would've been a good step in the right direction.

That's more like it. Some sense amongst the boring negative Everton 'supporters' who have currently got the team they deserve because of their non stop moaning and whining. COYB !!!!!

cant say i know the lad much to have any opinion but after seeing all the football experts write him off on here i am now quietly confident he will be a good signing!

Hope he does well for us, should it go through. Will reserve any opinions of him till I have seen him play a few games for us. Not arsed what some little Manc with a skin head and a fringe thinks about him.
