ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

when i heard that rodgers practically forced suarez to donate....omg...does he have brains? he just doesnt get it.

those tweets are utterly humiliating to whole LFC...one of the biggest screw ups in recent times for them imo. no class.

Someone needs to tell me what other organisation is more worthy of receiving the fine as a donation (that's connected to that club.) because I'm struggling to think of one. Why have a holier than thou attitude about it - what he did was wrong, the club were right to fine him, the club is right to donate the fine to charity and the Campaign seems just about the best place for it to go. This faux indignation isn't going to change the fact that he did it.

I see where you are coming from, and kind of agree in that it just drags the whole saga on, with the only losers being the club. Like I said earlier, and a few have said similar, they(LFC) should have just kept quiet about it, or checked with the campaign first. In my view, it just makes it worse now, and they now have the situation where is possible that folks who have been standing up for the **** might make bad comments about the HFSG.

Luis Suarez accepts violent conduct charge but denies FA claim standard punishment of three matches is clearly insufficient for this offence

Because they're exploiting the campaign for PR. There was absolutely no need to even announce where the fine was going.

But hey, feel free to tell the actual victims who are part of that organisation that they're wrong to be angry....

Absolutely spot on , I've no problem with the money going there it seems a good place to donate . However a campaigns decades long struggle for justice deserves better than to be used as cheap tool to boost the reputation of a millionaire scumbag .

Just heard that. Means the FA will come down hard, they will appeal, look like tits, get longer ban, which he will probably donate to HFSG. Idiots.

Fantastic of HSG to not only realise it was a cheap publicity stunt, but also to denounce it as such publicly.

Wonder if the RAWKites will call them scum for it?

For all the things Everton do badly, we're a million miles ahead of them when it comes to class and dignity.

Suarez didn't do anything. He's been fined and that money belongs to the club. The club are offering the money but have spun it to suggest or even imply that Suarez is paying it to the Hillsborough group. It is the worst kind of PR and most right minded people have seen straight through it. The Hillsborough group is not some patsy that the clubs PR machine can call upon to get them out of the sh!te.......

This.. Even they seem to be embarrassed, as they see it for what it is.
As I said earlier in this thread, Alder Hey should have had it if it had to be public.. And if the Hillsborough fund are in need, he could wipe out any debt in an instant personally if he feels that strong about the charity..
I'm sure he has donated plenty before ???

I was thinking like 7-9 games previously, now I'm hoping for something like 15. so he has bitten someone for a SECOND TIME in a professional match but thinks sthe suspension should be LESS than his first? not a bigger **** in football, not even close.

Clearly seen a loop-hole there somewhere.
It's not about what's right. It's business now. And liverpools business is badly effected by any game loss / loss in value to their best player.

Love it. Perhaps, but doubt it somehow
