Serious question? What would he actually have to do for a majority of them to condemn him? I can't believe people are saying it's not that bad, he's bitten a guy ffs. What's he going to do next, go over to an opposition player lying injured, drop his pants and **** on his face?

No surprise but a real bit class and dignity from the Justice Campaign :

Suarez’s club fine will be between £200,000 and £400,000. His decision to ask that the money be donated to the Hillsborough Family Support Group provoked consternation.

Sheila Coleman, from the Hillsborough Justice Campaign, tweeted: “Suarez to make donation to Hillsborough! Ian Ayre/LFC disgraceful to use Hillsborough in this way. #Exploitation.”

HFSG chairman Margaret Aspinall said: “I’d rather not be accepting the fine from Luis Suarez because I would rather he had not bitten that player.

“It is a nice gesture but it is a terrible thing under the circumstances. We can’t say we are grateful because we would rather him not have done that at all. It is an awful thing at any time – not just this particular week.”

All they had to do was to ask discreetly if they thought it appropriate before announcing it.

The 'its not as bad as a two footed tackle' argument is so out of context its unreal, yes you can do more damage with a tackle than a bite, you can also do more damage with a tackle than if someone got teabagged on the pitch, but the point is only one of those has a place on the pitch, I have no doubt with this being GOT what some of the responses will be.

So are they going to refuse the donation ?

Why announce it ? Just give them the money and if it came out at a later date then so be it..
They have seen this for what it is, and I for one hope they refuse it.

That would be classy beyond belief.

Liverpool are too shameless to hang their heads in shame, but they should do.

Someone needs to tell me what other organisation is more worthy of receiving the fine as a donation (that's connected to that club.) because I'm struggling to think of one. Why have a holier than thou attitude about it - what he did was wrong, the club were right to fine him, the club is right to donate the fine to charity and the Campaign seems just about the best place for it to go. This faux indignation isn't going to change the fact that he did it.

Because they're exploiting the campaign for PR. There was absolutely no need to even announce where the fine was going.

But hey, feel free to tell the actual victims who are part of that organisation that they're wrong to be angry....
