ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Suarez didn't do anything. He's been fined and that money belongs to the club. The club are offering the money but have spun it to suggest or even imply that Suarez is paying it to the Hillsborough group. It is the worst kind of PR and most right minded people have seen straight through it. The Hillsborough group is not some patsy that the clubs PR machine can call upon to get them out of the sh!te.......

Exactly, he's getting fined anyway so the where ever the money goes he is no loss out of pocket, he should pay his fine and an equal amount as a donation if he really is in any way sorry

as someone who lives near boston and went to school there for 5 years, I would like to point out that liverpool barely has any support there, if any at all.

Fantastic of HSG to not only realise it was a cheap publicity stunt, but also to denounce it as such publicly.

Wonder if the RAWKites will call them scum for it?

For all the things Everton do badly, we're a million miles ahead of them when it comes to class and dignity.

RAWK on the HJC statement

I'm surprised at that. Seems like a genuine gesture. We'd all rather he'd not done that but he didn't have to give away his cash.

i really cant see this as being an issue really,or at least shouldnt be.

if the families dont want the money dont accept it.

Genuine question here...

...First off it has to be said that the referee didn't see the bite OR Ivanovic push Suarez in the head - but had he seen Ivanovic he would have sent him off right? So despite the fact he was provoked, could he not receive retrospective punishment? Because i mean if someone punched a player, and the other player fought back - then they would be both off - regardless of who started it.

Im not saying it should happen - far from it, just curious if the rules include being provoked, because like said - if it was a punch up - they would both be off - despite someone starting it

With this and it turning out that Ivanovic hasn't accepted his apology at all, they've made an already volatile issue much, much worse.

I thank Buddha every day that I was raised a blue.

RAWK response.....at least one of them has a brain..

"Well no, he did have to give away his cash as he was fined.

The problem is that he chose to donate what essentially is not actually his cash to the Hillsborough Campaign.

It's not very thoughtful at all and I very much hope that this is a decision coming from Suarez (making it thoughtless but well-meaning and understandable) and not our club (making it moronic and another PR nightmare)."

Of course the rest are shooting this guy down....

I honestly cannot think of a more humiliating thing to be on the end of; a charity/campaign group refusing your donation because of the sort of person you are, which is essentially what they are saying. Also, BBC were keen to mention the fine was going to HSG; not a fekkin peep tonight!

I wish that were true but, unfortunately, they (and Celtic) are probably the best supported european club in Boston. They have a well organized supporters club and get big crowds to watch games, unlike United who's fans are everywhere but not organized. Then there's a bunch of clubs including us, Arsenal, Chelesa, Spurs, porto, sporting, Barca and lately, city. Either way, it made the sports news here and must be driving Henry crazy!!

Was having a genuine, not Mickey taking chat with a red today about this..
He was genuinely fuming about Evra last night..

I don't go for all this RAWK stuff. I think some reds are shaking their heads at the whole thing themselves..

Did you ever clear up the "Buddha Kick" question?
