ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

thing is though mate no one's suggesting sectarian hatred we should just highlight live on tele how they are the shame of merseyside. Believe me I read over football fans sites and many still buy into the whole fans sit together we stand together on everything I dont want us associated with these clowns for the same reasons as we have just witnessed in regards to defending again suarez.

That's a fair point, but I honestly think that if we let it get too far we could honestly get there.

We've done so well to shove most of that Sectarian bile down. Both clubs have to be fair. All those people haven't gone away though. They're just waiting for a climate where they can bring it back to the boil. There are certain subjects on here where you see the Sectarian element start to raise it's ugly head

All we need is some feisty derbies and for the rivalry to turn to hate, at which point anything is possible.

We should be proud that even though we really don't like the other lot, we can still mostly leave it in the stadium and get on with our lives. I honestly don't want a rivalry like The Old Firm or some of he crazy stuff you see in Argentina and Mexico.

Liverpool supporters have played the victim card like pros about this.

"It's just because it's Suarez"

"If Rooney had done that the FA wouldn't have done anything"

"Cantona"

etc.

I really am surprised they haven't call for ivanovic to get suspended because he hit him in the head tying to get him off his arm.

Neither the Football Association or Liverpool will be represented in person when the FA's independent regulatory commission meets on Wednesday to consider Luis Suarez's case. From the BBC

I'd imagine this means their not contesting the charge

Nah, but they've collectively used it as a stick to beat Evra with - instead of, you know, what normal people would do and re-assess their opinion of that situation given that their hero had just feckin bit someone.

Credit to Ivanovic for not being a [Poor language removed] like Evra, could have been a total bitch about it, but accepted the apology like a man!

Credit to Ivanovic, he could have made the situation far more worse. Fair play to him for not being a [Poor language removed] unlike Evra.

Matt Simpson ‏@Matthew_Simmo 9h
Fair play to Ivanovic for not being a [Poor language removed] about it. Evra would have come out with a sling on.

Racists.

Indeed. Amazingly though they actually don't realise that they are. They're just brainwashed cultists, no exaggeration. I wouldn't leave a child around one of them in case they sacrificed them to Kenny while my back was turned or something.

I'm only half-joking there.

Surely you'd be responsible for being so negligent?

Barton got 7/8 games? I would hope as a massively impartial evertonian he gets at least that.

I just don't see how you can defend the indefensible, yet, here they go again.

Initially I thought LFC had learnt from their collective previous mistakes with the quick apology, but after mentioning that Suarez had asked for the fine to be given to the HJC, when they didn't need to, to play on fans emotions, I consider what the club did WORSE than what Suarez did.

96 Liverpool supporters died, they were wrongfully accused and insulted in death, the wider football community has long supported that club and the campaign for justice, and the club choose to use that good cause to gain good PR for a scumbag of a person because he is worth money to them.

Fuming I am. An absolute insult to the 96.
