Doesn't it annoy anyone else that it takes the best team in the world to be playing them to make us feel this confident?
I was more confident of the horse punchers beating them tbh.Doesn't it annoy anyone else that it takes the best team in the world to be playing them to make us feel this confident?
I like Henderson. Seems like a sound enough lad who gives you 100% on the pitch every week. He dived the other day, but everyone seems to do it these days and in his defence, his team were desperate for a goal at the time.
I'd probably love him if we had him, not that he'd get in our side ahead of either of our midfielders. Technically limited, but still has some quality, is a "good pro" and is a very good athlete.
I agree that there is a falling number of real "winners" and competitive characters in the squad though. Since Carragher announced his retirement I've been wondering who the next one will be and they've not found one (that they had a hope of keeping) as of yet. Those players are what got Liverpool the CL runs in 05 and 07 and the FA cup in 06.

Been in this position before, getting comfy and set to watch them get anihilated - such hubris has caught me out before, I wonder if I can rely on the Ronaldo show to turn up and put the shameful showers of shyte out of their misery and very much onto my comedy highlight reel.
Enjoy another of those legendary champions league nights kopites, they are quickly running out and getting another go might be a ways off.
Ta ra.
That's the mood I am in
BUT
I can't remember them EVER being torn apart like the were a couple of weeks ago by Madrid at Anfield, They have been beaten and played poorly but they always raised there game and gave it a go, Against Madrid they were taken apart in every position

Teams respond when supporters support. Newcastle's experience in recent weeks tells you that. So instead of waiting to pounce on every mistake Simon Mignolet makes even as he makes them, point out instead the incredible saves he has made, and how he's probably been the Reds' man of the match in the past two games. There, it sounds different already, doesn't it.
Same goes with Steven Gerrard, whose passing stats have been unequalled in English football this season, and make him the most effective 'quarter-back' midfielder in Europe right now.
Javier Manquillo and Albert Moreno will be MUCH better players if they feel the warmth of the support, and Lazar Markovic is a 20 year old whose struggles to adapt to a new culture at such a tender age deserve just a little sympathy and patience
No to be honest because I often feel think they'll get beat.....I thought the barcodes would do them last weekend. All that previous spawn of the devil....the comeback in Istanbul, the Gerrard cup final lark etc...for me all that went out of the window with that debacle last season and that special thing they had where they nicked things time and time again evaporated with Chelsea and Palace and their car crash season end I reckon. Gerrard still looks haunted and if they make a liar out of me and win Id be the first to say I was wrong but.....nah.Doesn't it annoy anyone else that it takes the best team in the world to be playing them to make us feel this confident?
