ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Seeing Rodgers make a laughing stock of himself and leave disgraced after all the b**locks we endured last season would be really sweet.

The early signs are that he is running into some serious problems that may last the whole season. The question is whether Sturridge can save them or not, because at the moment they look very much mid-table without him. Is he up to carrying them without Suarez?

Either way, Rodgers should be questioned as he had £130m in the summer to prepare for situations just like the Sturridge injury and fill out the squad enough to ensure that a few injuries wouldn't mean the wheels come off, let alone one measly injury ffs.
I think Sturridge is capable of converting a few draws into wins, but they're right up against it for a CL place. Despite today, their defence is as weak as last season and they'll be lucky to score anywhere near 70 goals on current form.

In a game utterly infested with egotistical belters, this bloke almost takes the cake. Not sure there's a figure in football who has achieved so little yet holds himself in such high esteem. The day he gets sacked is going to be hilarious, because he would probably sooner cut loose at the club, its players and its fans before admitting he got something wrong.

The best thing is last season he said something like Spurs spent £100m and any team that spends that sort of money needs to challenge for the league, now the winds changed direction I wonder what his thoughts are on that?

A journalist with real backbone would put that to him, maybe someone like Pearce?

That's it. That's the galling thing of this feller: an utter no mark who feels he can hold his ground with real achievers in the game - players and managers alike.

He's just hard faced, that's all. He'll be a laughing stock foot note in the history of the game.

He only needed to buy a few decent defenders! instead.... he bought 4 forwards, 5 defenders a goalie and 4 defenders oh, and Lallana

Italian forward Mario Balotelli from Milan for a fee of 20m;
Spanish defender Alberto Moreno from Sevilla for a fee of 18m;

Serbian forward Lazar Markovic from Benfica Lisbon for a fee of 25m;

Their season will be decided on just how many draws he turns into wins, yeah. His fitness will be a huge factor here. It seems he misses a good 8 weeks a season at least. Probably more, this.
