Caulker is clinical, no denying that. Balo I thought would be decent, but he seems to be putting so much pressure on himself that he's sabotaging his instincts, if he had any. All the skill in the world, and most likely won't make in two years there.

i think the RS have put too much pressure on him, they don't seem to be giving him much encouragement anyway, they surely knew what he was, he's a lazy SOB who scores goals, they're expecting him to have the attitude of marcus bent and the finishing prowess of ronaldo. rodgers is asking to be too much of a bent and well, he's not that type of player. he's also not a lone striker

They should have hired the people that handled Southampton's transfer dealings. Tadic looks superb and Pelle is banging them in and they were bought for much less than Lalana and Lovren.

The thing that has most surprised me is Lovren's performances. I thought he was a good defender at S'ton, prone to huge brain farts but overall decent.

But he has been awful this season and he doesn't have the excuse of some of the other players of being young and unfamiliar with the league. I know it takes a while for CBs to build a rapport but he's been with Liverpool for 3 months now and has played most of that time with Skrtel, you'd expect to have seen some improvement in their understanding but it doesn't look like it so far, if anything it is getting worse.
