Well regarding the criticism, Rodgers needs to understand that it doesn't totally revolve round Gerrard being man marked. Even well before he became "the quarterback", their own fans were saying he was on his way out/becoming a liability...even albeit in some cases reluctantly. And that was when Suarez was there too. Age catches up with everyone and with this " whole raft of new players bedding in", by the time they do for them, Gerrard wont be able to "go again". They've taken him for granted given the many times hes literally saved their bacon and they've got to face facts now.

Liverpool - 3 points
ludogrets - 0/1 point

Then liverpool have to win their last 2 games and hope basle drew against ludogrets once.

If they draw vs basle they are out. they drop any points after real they are out.

ONLY ludogrets holding basle to a draw twice or beating them will give them hope. That or liverpool beating real.

A strong manager would have punted Gerrard. He's slow in thought and deed. How pathetic does he look keeping tight hold of the ball for free kicks or penalties simply because he has nothing else to offer? Henderson is doing his leg work for him. Rodgers should be going with Henderson and Can if he's serious about building a team. But Gnashers just hasn't got the strength of character to settle who runs that team between himself and Gerrard.
