ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

What a magical European nightgown the real red men Arsenal.

Dispatched the European royalty there unlike any 2nd rate red men.

Just need Villa to step up and the story of this season could be a clash of a team that could potentially dominate for years in Arsenal or the rebirth of Villa as a European powerhouse under a willy manager.

I'm almost as jealous as a kopite seeing that happen for them and not us.
Ooh, I say.

They’ve caved to his wage demands, and Van Dijk’s by the sound of it. That’s the sort of sentimentality that started their decline in the 90s. Their drugs are good but even with them these two have to slow down at some point. Even Messi and Ronaldo were walking around at 33/34.
Who was the last “old” cb who was good

Thiago silva? What was he 36?

There isnt loads is there

Salah got afcon aswell he will be goosed next season

rinsing them but it’s his goals that’s why they have let him have what wages he wants,

Yes, a 32 and 33 year old, this has Everton written all over it.
This season Salah has been top notch, but Van Disney is defo losing it.

So they’ve thrown whatever salad and van Bader want just to keep the manslaughterers happy, could be the start of the decline, but we do say that every fecking year.

Would be glorious to actually see the Firmino/mane/Coutino style drop off whilst these ped munchers are actually wearing a RS shirt however.

The drugs might prevent that, but age is a barsteward and will catch them sooner or later (already happening this season - they both have looked crap the last few months.)

Im More worried about them signing Issak than keeping Salah and Van Dyke,Van Dyke especially is already on the way down and surely Salah has to cop for an injury soon.
As Dave has said this could all be a PR exercise as they do not like to be ignored.
Does seem strange to annouce one the tue cl games and one the wed cl games dosent it

They probably would have had more scope to sign Isaak if they’d not kept those two.

Salah is on 350k a week at the moment and wanted a significant rise in his new deal. I’d imagine he’ll be on over 400k a week. Van Dijk is on over 200k a week at the moment and probably wanted a rise. Imagine what Alisson Konate Diaz etc will be thinking, they’ll all want commensurate rises.

Isaak can name his price to go anywhere in terms of wages and Newcastle can ask whatever fee they want. I could see Arsenal being able to afford him much more than Liverpool. Liverpool also need to buy two new top draw fullbacks and how much do they cost now if you want the best?

The Salah & Van Dijk contracts smack of FSG bowing down to fan pressure once again. They 100% did not want to renew either of them for what they wanted if they could get away with it..

Barring a situation where they end up selling Salah to Saudi for silly money following a new contract anyway, chances are they'll end up taking a big financial hit on them now and sets a precedent for the rest of that squad. I'd be surprised if either of them had more than another year left in them at the 'top level'.
