Kiev have been punished for racism during our game.
Punishment = partial closure of stadium.... 'cause that worked wonder that last time.

This happens all the time and UEFA never punish clubs properly. They're repeat offenders and it's about time they kicked them out the competition. I'm not suggesting that we get reinstated because we don't deserve to be but it's getting ridiculous.

It's ridiculous stuff like (in my opinion)... the club has also been fined 15k which is hardly much of a punishment.

If UEFA are serious about all the KickItOut campaigns, it's not really showing. At the very least they should be fined the amount of money that they received from TV rights for the match. If you start making punishments actually mean something then even racist fans will stop with the chants due to the financial repercussions for their club. You will also have clubs taking the problem more seriously.

It's a joke as it's not the 1st time they have been charged with "racist conduct by their supporters"

Wednesday 10 April 2013
UEFA has ordered Dynamo Kiev to play their next two home matches in European competition behind closed doors due to two incidents of "racist conduct by their supporters" at the Olympic National Sports Complex.

The Ukraine club's fans are alleged to have behaved in a racist manner in Dynamo's UEA Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain in November 2012 last year and then again in the UEFA Europa League against Bordeaux in February.

"FC Dynamo Kiev have been ordered to play their next two UEFA competition home matches behind closed doors due to racist conduct by supporters," said a statement on UEFA's official website.

"The first match behind closed doors applies to the next UEFA club competition match for which the club would qualify, while the sanction for the second match is deferred for a probationary period of three years. The Ukrainian club has lodged an appeal against this decision. The date of the UEFA Appeals Body hearing has yet to be decided."

Given that they watered the pitch and ruined the goalmouths, made it impossible for us to train on the pitch pre-match and then followed this up by the fan's behaviour just goes to show that you can get away with almost anything and still not get removed from the competition. They should have been kicked out for the repeat incidents - not because we were the opponents but - because every team would know a repeat incident meant expulsion and it would stop all this nonsense. You can't tell me that the pitch was fit to play on - the ref woosed out on that one and as for the match observer you've got to be kidding, right?

But we're good old, nice, Everton so you won't be hearing any protests from us!

Honestly dont even remember there being any mention of racism. Wonder who it was directed towards and whatnot. Would have been interesting to see if it were to Everton if they walked off the pitch what the outcome would have been.

I suppose a £15,000 fine is somewhat bigger a penalty for a country where admission prices are £1, but nonetheless the continued soft approach to the club's history of trouble is scandalous. If you're not going to move a fixture after home supporters had previously ran half the length of the pitch to attack visiting supporters and caused the match to be held up then the message from UEFA is clearly 'as you were'.
