2025/26 Dwight McNeil

Time to get in the real world and realise that not having "The Best Players" but actually having "Good Players" is a good thing for the side you support.

Or you can keep on dreaming..

Being able to judge said players is another thing, but sure it's all about opinions..

He’s dropped from ‘very good’ to ‘good’ already?

Great, give it 5 minutes and you’ll recognise the lad is crap at the top level.

Very Jack Harrison performance from him. Shifted it wide nicely to Grealish a couple of times when he drifted inside in the 2nd half but Arsenal players not worried about him at all.

I'd rather try Grealish in the centre and have McNeil back on the left. Get the two of them more involved that way.

Absolute donkey.

He’s got a lot of people fooled with his so called hard work that he brings, it’s a sham.

He jogs about looking like he’s pressing/closing down, but he never actually does it fully. Out of possession, I don’t think he got closer than 5 yards to an Arsenal player all night. Sadly, It’s like playing with 10 men when he’s on.

In possession, he offers nothing, runs into dead ends and his so called passing ability is non existent - he can’t even take a decent set piece.

The worst Everton player on the park by absolute miles last night, it’s not even close.

Moyes is a joke for putting him anywhere near the starting 11.

It was a free hit last night to be brave and start dibling, but he did what he always does, the coward.

Going to be a very long afcon winter for us without illy.

McNeil is so one-footed that when he's played out on the right, there is no other option but to come inside. Have we seen him once try to go down the line?

It's forcing him to come further inside, playing narrower, and when you have O'Brien behind him (he's not an advancing RB, is he?) it's debilitating.

Personally, I am firmly in the camp of playing a square peg in a square hole, so it should be Dibling there even if he isn't completely ready to step up.

Not helped last night by obrien at rb...the fullback should overlap often so that it creates space for the midfielder, something myko does very well on the other side for grealish. Obviously ndiaye doesn't need much space which shows how tremendous player he is...

Whether you like McNeil or not, you dont play a one footed player out wide forcing them to cut inside every time without an overlapping full back.

If he's central then at least there may be a chance he could spread the play or have a shot or two.

If hes on the left perhaps he can cross to our 6'5 CF.

But no, he's used on the right which does no one any good.

All on Moyes this.
