This season, it's like the last place he wants to be is on the pitch playing football. It's weird.

There were rumours in the summer that we’d turned down bids for him. We then kept him on the bench behind Ndiaye and Grealish for a lot of the season. We’re perhaps now saying he can’t leave this window either due to Grealish’s injuries.

As unprofessional as it is, he may simply not be motivated to bust a gut any more for a team where he knows he’s on the out.

just can’t see who takes him currently

and i don’t think hes taking a step into the championship anytime soon even though thats his level

maybe one of the promoted clubs take a punt on him in summer if set plays still in vogue but can’t see him being the right fit for lampard or mckenna

….i always read, ‘give him a run of games’, such a nonsense statement as fans will soon complain if he continues to disappoint and we lose points. Two of the games he’s started he failed to get past half-time.

The only way he gets more game time is by showing he deserves it, especially when you have more effective options available.

….i do think his part in Leeds goal was unforgivable, I’d give you that. I wouldn’t actually mind if that was because of his lack of speed but what he did demonstrated a lack of desire and there’s no excuse for that in an Everton player at the top level.

Well no club should allow its assets to enter the final year of their contract. Pipe McNeil's conny expires June 2027, so now really is perfect time to get rid.

Obviously a problem arises when not clubs are willing to pay actual money for him.

If we wait another year, big clubs such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich or PSG could approach him and arrange a deal upon expiration of his deal with us.

….i understand when players run down their contracts to make a big financial hit but i doubt McNeil will look to do that because he’ll know he’ll be playing very little football for 12 months. Not surprised if the rumours of him wanting to leave are true.

I think Mykolenko’s contract is also up next year, he’s in a stronger position to run his deal down because he’s a regular.
