I don't think that's fair. Why would he think 'i know, i could tackle that guy, get possession and maybe set up /score a goal and be lauded by the crowd or i could just fail to do anything and get slaughtered by them (and probably subbed).' He didn't do any of that a few seasons ago when he was our top scorer/creator (who we missed badly when he was injured). He just has just no pace/confidence. Footballers have a competitive nature and like to win. I don't think he'll be any different. But i suppose we have to take our frustrations out on someone.......

He’s always been crap.

He doesn’t even score the odd blammo or put in a decent ball/cross - that’s all he really was for us.

Again, I just can't work out how he went from one of our best players to one I can't stand the sight of now.

A year ago before his injury he was vital to this team. He looks like he never even heard of that player now.

Can moan about his lack of pace and just so one footed but could give him a pass because of the work rate. The effort is just gone from him with grealish and ndiaye away at the acon. Has had chances to break back into the team, just does not want to be here you can tell, wish him the best when moves becuase been important keeping us up but Dibling needs be in the side now.

I've said a few times, but he just gets bypassed so many times.

I've defended him this season.
Players lose confidence and he's scored some really important goals in last couple of seasons.
But there's no excuse for that.
Anyone can see how that move's developing.
Even if you're stinking the gaff out, you can still do the ugly stuff.

Whilst picking up his 70 grand a week whether he plays or not. He can't be arsed and he doesn't want to be here.

Receive ball, push to left, fake cross, repeat 15 times, finally cross (badly) was/is his regular move, but he can't deploy it on the right due to his right foot being a myth.

A universally hated Gylfi offered 20 times more than McNeil ever did.

He's one of those players who puts his head down when he runs after his opponent to try to give the impression he's trying as hard as he can, when in reality, he's going through the motions.

Yep, his ‘hard work’ is purely performative. Closing down a keeper or defender when he knows he’s no chance of getting there. When there are actual hard yards to do - such as tracking his runner, he can’t be bothered.
