Hinchcliffe's Corner
Player Valuation: £50m
I dont think McNeil will be the best option now. Which is a shame as ive felt he's been oft maligned despite being rather decent in patches for us.….true but he was still our best option over Beto.

Can he make himself unavailable for selection, seeing as that's apparently a thing players do?

I was alluding more to the fact that Patterson made himself unavailable for selection and definitely, DEFINITELY, wasn't injured. He can, they normally list them as " inactive ", which covers a lot of bases, but being unavailable for selection is one of them.
I'd say that was phrasing. Tried to make it, but couldn't. Don't know, but seems the reasonable understandingI was alluding more to the fact that Patterson made himself unavailable for selection and definitely, DEFINITELY, wasn't injured.
So in the same vein, maybe McNeil will do the same.
I'd go as far as to say I've literally never seen a more one footed player in 40 years of watching footballSo strange that not one coach or parent since childhood told this lad he'll need to get better with his weaker foot.
No other player in the PL as one footed as him imo
Paul Merson? although he was on an entirely different planet as a footballer to McNeil.I'd go as far as to say I've literally never seen a more one footed player in 40 years of watching football
Nope, Patterson made himself unavailable, it is known, sorry.I'd say that was phrasing. Tried to make it, but couldn't. Don't know, but seems the reasonable understanding
When, and what's the source?Nope, Patterson made himself unavailable, it is known, sorry.
Never, and some very balanced individuals in his own thread, in reality. When, and what's the source?
Ahh right, I get itNever, and some very balanced individuals in his own thread, in reality.
That said, it is something I wish McNeil would actually do.
A little joke mate.Ahh right, I get it

to be fair on a basic level I'd say loads of players are as one footed as him. The issue is that he invariably plays as a winger and has absolutely no pace whatsoever so he often finds himself in positions where he has to go onto his weaker side and it's then that it becomes painfully obvious that he can't do it. Players who have pace and are able to continually go past on the outside you don't notice as much, and defenders can hide it a bit more easily, but playing the way he does it just stands out like a sore thumb (obviously exacerbated when for no reason that I will ever be able to understand, managers actually play him on the side that he can't use).I'd go as far as to say I've literally never seen a more one footed player in 40 years of watching football
