Duncan Ferguson Management

If he wants the top job then he needs to leave and drop down a league as a manger.
Do a good job, get some experience and then if the opportunity arises in the future then see.

Too inexperienced to manager this team at the moment with its issues. One of the best managers in the world has jibbed it as he couldn’t get a tune out of some of these clowns. Throwing an inexperienced manager at it isn’t the answer.

Big Nev wants Big Dunc:

Everton legend Neville Southall believes it is now "Duncan Ferguson's time" to become Everton manager.

Ferguson has worked as a coach under a succession of Blues bosses since his return to the club in 2014 and during an uplifting four-match spell as caretaker manager following Marco Silva's sacking in December 2019 inspired a stirring victory over Chelsea, draws against Manchester United and Arsenal and a comeback from 2-0 down to take a Carabao Cup tie with Leicester to a penalty shoot-out.

But moreover, Southall believes his old team-mate is the only man to have shown the "loyalty and dedication" to revive the Blues' fortunes since the last manager to bring silverware to Goodison, Joe Royle.

Get it sorted, Moshiri.

Nuno it is then

He managed to motivate the players and got a win against Chelsea, but other than that it was pretty poor wasn't it.

Not a chance he should get the job.
Yes just looked at our midfield that day when we beat Chelsea 3-1 . Walcott , iwobi , gylfi and Morgan scnizer. Chelsea’s contained mount and Kante.

he also played holgate in midfield in 2 of his 4 games.

so it’s not all about having the quality it’s about motivation and results.

it would be a big gamble but with an experienced Assistant alongside him you never know what he could bring.

Was Morgan Schneiderlin still here then?

We played well in the Chelsea game but in the United and Arsenal game we didn't play well I don't think.

The problem with Dunc for me is that it could go very wrong, a lot of these players have let experienced managers down and if they decide to drop tools under Duncan we could end up in the bottom 5.

Love Dunc but would like to see him coach another team first and make the mistakes. He should have tried to get the tranmere job.

Do you not think its worth the gamble, purely for the fun factor and to get that emotional attachment back to the team?
Its not as if we are ever going to go down, and if it goes tits up, it can easily be remedied to not drop down!
It would also give Brands time and space to be in control of an actual strategy and transfer system without having a big named manager chipping in.
We need to realise we are still a side in transition and need to get the foundations in.
No one watches or supports everton because they are in it for winning every pot! We are in it for the emotion, the laughs, the lows, the aggression! Ferguson would bring all that.
My most enjoyible time at goodison since probably fiorentina was probably that chelsea game.
If its not going to happen now it will never happen.

Absolutely - Football is a soap opera and more about the storyline than the sport. Grown adults shouldn't be losing their heads over what is essentially a children's ball game. (EDIT - During the 90 minutes, fine, it's all about blowing off steam, afterwards no...grow up)

90% of the actual "product" is dross.

No it absolutely isn’t worth the gamble, we would go down 100% and probably never recover from it
