Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

I think that opinion of Obama is intentionally obtuse. There is no other way to justify it.

Anyway, you misinterpret what I'm saying about the ratings. I'm not taking a position about your rejoicing in Trump's failure vs. the overall success of the country. I'm saying that I fully expect the left will run Booker or Warren or some other crackpot, and people will somehow be baffled that 33% approval for Trump didn't equate into a landslide electoral college win for the Dems.
Not obtuse at all,
The dems will run Kamala Harris in 2020

It's extremely en vogue to trash the President, and a lot of stupid people are doing it. So I'm not sure it's merely the simpletons who defend Trump. You've got to be pretty "independent" to defend Trump in a thread where the vast majority of people are saying the same anti-Trump things.

Honestly, I despise the weeping, outlandish anti-Trump people more than I like Trump. For the record, I also feel similarly about the conspiracy-obsessed Trump-can-do-no-wrong types.

I live in upstate NY, I've been around the south lately. There's no shortage of people who defend Trump and have no logical basis for it. Perhaps on CNN or whatever you choose to watch outside of fox it may seem unfair, but it is devservingly so.

Do you actually think he's doing a good job? I'm actually a fan of opening up more opportunities for merit based immigration and cutting down on the lottery system. How he is going about it, is completely wrong.

His tax plan is a [Poor language removed] disaster and completely wrong. I'm tired of paying for other people's [Poor language removed], and this tax plan just doubles up on it for me. I'm young, it doesn't cut spending, kicks the bucket down the road, and it eliminates my state write off. It'd be a fair point to criticize my states tax code if it wasn't that we are a net giver federally, and these states with no income tax have awful health systems, poor infrastructure, and take from the federal government more than they give.

I'm more of a Republican, which is why I'm so harsh on them because I feel you should hold your party to a higher standard, not vice versa. And most red states are a [Poor language removed] joke, just like the party.

It's not "en vogue", he's a flat out awful president and a [Poor language removed] joke.

I agree with you, but mind your language please mate.

My apologies, apologies to the poster who quoted me also, @Pettifogger because I may have pinned beliefs on him he doesn't have.

If you'd like me to edit the post to take that out I can, no problem.

I'm too lazy to do that if it is not asked of me.

Edit- it's too late, sorry, again my apologies I'll keep away from bad language. It's mistaken but the automatic block on it makes me feel like it's okay to fly.

Sorry again, and sorry to @Pettifogger because I think I may have mischaracterized him in a way

It's no problem mate. We don't like to nanny folk, but we rely on Google ads to keep the place running and they can be funny about swearing.

Haha understandable. Now that I know the reasoning I'll make sure to avoid any swearing. When you say something costs money, for better or worse, I avoid it. Ask some of my dates. So if my swearing could potentially cost the site money I'm done.

This is honestly the best forum I've ever came across. Granted hip-hop, political, and American football forums aren't where you'd find a lot of intelligence. But I've found i appreciate the attitude of almost everyone on here.

It's ok. I'm here for the discussion and disagreement. I'm no Trump sycophant, but am I glad Hillary isn't POTUS? Probably, yes. I like Gorsuch, I like the tax cut. Not so much for the money in my pocket, but for the rolling back of the concept that all money belongs first to the state, which so many progressives in my life seem to believe. There are other things I think Trump is "accomplishing" even if I don't really like his end goal or the methodology. I won't say I support the wall, for example, but I support the end of the sanctuary city culture and broad disregard for immigration laws.

There is pretty much strong economic news breaking everyday. I'm not going to pin that all on Trump for the same reason I don't praise Obama as though he personally killed OBL, etc. But it's on his resume, which is why I find it so ridiculous when people pretend there is absolutely no way to make a case for Trump's success at this point.

What success? What because the markets are stronger?

His claims about jobs being down to him have been false as have this notion that many companies have moved back because of him.

So you are happy to write of the fact that Obama was given a mess at the end of 08 and since then the country has become stronger economically and more jobs have been created each year?

Since the market crash in 08 and the resurgence of the economy once the US got back on its feet this country has been climbing out of it and has been getting stronger and stronger each year since 08.

The curve has been positive despite the GOP trying to claim Obama was ruining this country despite the facts saying other wise.

The GDP grew since 09 and between 11 to now jobs have been on the rise. Go look at the numbers

I think in 2010 75000 jobs were created but the next year it nearly doubled and kept rising every year bar one after that.

This has nothing to do with Trump although i have always believed that GDP and growth has nothing to do with presidents at all.

Unless of course it meant the laws they implemented prevented this.

Of course i agree some industries are doing better than Trump. That's because he has removed restrictions and given them carte blanche to do what they want.

Don't forget also between 2010 and 2015 we have seen a massive surge in technologies and tech companies in general.

Most times any president claims they were the game changer to me its bluster. Of course they can be credited for changing laws or adding/removing restrictions but ultimately its a confidence thing and well whats been happening as in demand for whatever it is that comes along.

Trump will have the advantage now because there a lot of new industries and expansion in certain tech fields happening right now.

Here's the thing though. For the first time we have someone in office where what he's "accomplishing" cannot be parsed out from the man himself. How he carries himself is an utter disgrace. Sure, there may be bits and pieces that people can argue over from a policy perspective, and by all means, we can have that discussion. But Trump is going about everything in a very divisive, hateful way.

And that should not be forgiveable

Man, just look at his tweets today, full of poor grammar and spelling, contradicting himself and being fact checked by his own. That's just in the past few hours, later there'll be a live satellite link-up to an anti abortion rally where his nut job base will ignore all the reports that he had an affair with a porn star when his son was 6 months old. The guys a lunatic, yet you call booker and Warren crazy. At least they can speak English.
