Including Silicon Valley and San Diego??!! These guys really are California dreamin'.

Oh of course they are a conservative group haha!!

Yeah i can see this take off.

How can some movement just simply declare independence haha!! Have they bothered to ask the residents what they think even the conservatives in San Diego know this would be terrible.

Not sure they realise the people in silicon valley are mainly democrats and they have already lost momentum in what used to be a conservative stronghold here in San Diego.

Love how they try cherry pick though. Typical conservative move that.

Yep indeed. These guys need to go away and do their research.... Actually on second thought just go away haha!!

I think they are maybe 10 years too late with their believe that there is still a massive conservative following in California. There is a substantial number of them but they have not been close to the majority in years.

San Diego is not simply divided by the military and rich conservatives anymore. If there is any city and part of California that has done a complete 180 it's here.

There are more Latin Americans and young progressive types living here now. With the weather and the lifestyle even how expensive it is there is an influx of people moving here. I believe there is also a shift in the younger military folk that live here. Not all of them are staunch conservatives like you would expect or well the right expects them to be.

The rich conservatives own a small pocket now mainly La Jolla and downtown (part of the reason the chargers are no longer here).

I watched an interview with one of the crackpots. He was harping on about "leave coastal California to its own devices". Yet he and his deluded friend included San Diego in the new California. Haha!!

Maybe if the right picked politicians who were not clowns like Darrell Issa, who was one of the only ones to hang onto his seat down here maybe they might get somewhere.

The only conservative noise you will get here are those who moved here from somewhere else. A couple of my conservative friends moan about this crap all of the time and threaten to leave yet as long as i have lived here they are still here hahaha!! They know the lifestyle even as expensive as it is is just too good haha!!

So too then are the words of Democrats Nancy Pelosi, Doug Jones, Diane Feinstein, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Claire McCaskill, Amy Klobuchar, Joe Manchin, Adam Schiff, Tammy Duckworth, Tom Carper, Maggie Hassan, Bob Casey, Catherine Cortez Masto, Jeanne Shaheen, Joe Donnelly, Mark Warner, Heidi Heitkamp, Bill Nelson, Gary Peters, Jack Reed, and Sheldon Whitehouse, along with more than a third of House Democrats.

So I'm sure that as a result, they'll now all refrain from scoring cheap political points by speaking against Trump's abuses of power - and that nobody on will even consider retweeting approvingly should they also stoop to Flake's hypocrisy ; )

No way would Santa Clara County or Contra Costa County support this. Highly doubt San Diego, Orange, San Bernardino, or Riverside counties would be at all interested.

So if they proceeded and the aforementioned counties said no you'd be looking at one of the poorest states in the union.

No chance of this happening.

I see you guys going back and forth about whether he's racist. He's not, he's infact the least racist person ever interviewed by these people.

Yet... the Donald is smarter than you all... least racist, doesn't deny he is infact, a racist.

[Poor language removed] this guy. I'm a conservative. Anyone who wants to even take the time to defend this guy has a few screws loose, and is too closely tied to the label they chose. Be it a Republican or Conservative, either way, anyone who defends the guy is too simple to understand politics and think independently.

It's extremely en vogue to trash the President, and a lot of stupid people are doing it. So I'm not sure it's merely the simpletons who defend Trump. You've got to be pretty "independent" to defend Trump in a thread where the vast majority of people are saying the same anti-Trump things.

Honestly, I despise the weeping, outlandish anti-Trump people more than I like Trump. For the record, I also feel similarly about the conspiracy-obsessed Trump-can-do-no-wrong types.

I genuinely believe that Obama wanted the best for every American. I can't say that for Trump.
As for your last line, I'm really tired of the right coming out with this line. Nobody is gleeful about his ratings. They are in the toilet because people can see what a carpetbagging fraudster he is, the fact that more and more people are realizing that they voted for a moron elicits feelings of relief more than glee, then you realize nothing can be done with out 2/3rds senate approval. So I'd prefer if he wasn't such a stupid dipshit and did a better job.

I think that opinion of Obama is intentionally obtuse. There is no other way to justify it.

Anyway, you misinterpret what I'm saying about the ratings. I'm not taking a position about your rejoicing in Trump's failure vs. the overall success of the country. I'm saying that I fully expect the left will run Booker or Warren or some other crackpot, and people will somehow be baffled that 33% approval for Trump didn't equate into a landslide electoral college win for the Dems.

Just noticed Sonoma County was included in New Cali...no chance they'd vote for it either.
