Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

It is. I fear this nation wasn't actually ready for a black president. 8 years of conservative media railing against Obama on EVERYTHING seems to have helped radicalized a portion of our society. If you listen to conservative radio it's very bombastic painting the left as pure evil.

Trump has seized the moment by continuing that same rhetoric throughout his campaign. His presidency has been an embarassment thus far and I don't see it getting better. He's emboldened a very dark belief system that I thought we were past as a nation.

It's very troubling that people actually believe that those who oppose racist speech and racist ideas are fascists. It's all gone upside down.

I disliked Obama, I couldn't give a crap what colour he was, I just disliked many of the things he said or didn't do. I'm British, so it doesn't count, but I wouldn't mind betting that many Americans felt the same without any cognisance of his colour......

Well, they were fighting for Independence, no less than the 13 states did..... it's just a matter of viewpoint.... my main thrust though is still about one of intolerance.......
What tolerance is Trump preaching Pete?

On almost a daily basis he is attacking media, immigrants, Muslims, transgender, Democrats, Republicans, CEOs, foreign governments, Gold Star parents....the list goes on. I had my disagreements with other Presidents on policy and approach but I honestly can't imagine George W retweeting an Alt Right poster approvingly.

To succeed from the union. To keep their slaves.
Why did the union go to war? to keep the States united. Obviously there are economic reasons on both sides but it all circles around the economics of slavery.

I honestly believe that this is a modern viewpoint and almost certainly not why the war happened. Black people were being bussed separately from white people and treated abysmally 100 years after the war......

He's not, he is a very devisive person who moves from one extreme to the other in the bat of an eye, but he is the first President I have seen who has been personally and publicly attacked from the moment he was elected. As I say I think intolerance has really come to the fore and I fear similar will happen when you next vote for a democrat. Once the genie is out of the bottle it's very hard to put back.......

I was in America when Obama was elected, and I remember both democrats and republicans telling me that they believed he would be a great president. There was optimism, everyone around the world wanted to be photographed with Obama, there was even an Obama effect for failing politicians to be seen with him. So no, there was not the same welcome to Trump and to deny otherwise is a bit silly.....

Possibly because even before he was elected he was the exact same.

Remember more people didn't want him. The logical popular vote had way more people voting the other way. The electoral college decided it. Which is fair under the current system.

Normally when a president winds they try work with the other side or at the very least keep it civil. This guy decided not too.

So when you have 60 something million people or whatever it is being called snowflakes and being attacked by a man who is supposed to unite the country not divide it more its bound to stir up emotion.

He has insulted everyone who has disagreed with him called them names attacked their very being. Before he was elected he said some hateful stuff and has continued on with that.

It's not hard to see why people would hate him form the very first minute.

Remember the right gave Obama the same treatment if not worse, no matter what he did. At least Obama was dignified and acted like a proper human being.
