Shocking , genuinely shocking .

I cannot believe a single member of White House staff , that isn't bannon or miller , could have approved that message. The first statement was so weak and lily-livered it drew scorn from many of his traditional allies with even some of Fox putting the boot in , so that was bad enough but to follow up with this is just madness and so incredibly disrespectful.

A president is supposed to be Presidential so for him to do this with a disregard for his own electorate is staggering. I do wonder if he's done this because of the backlash and his determination to be bloody minded.

You've probably just used a figure of speech and if so fair enough, but it shouldn't be shocking to anyone who witnessed his campaign trail.

WTF is wrong this guy. There is more than enough video evidence to suggest that simply isn't true. Now he really is making a show of himself and actually helping us prove to @peteblue why the majority hates hime haha!!

I think he's just trying to defend a position, crudely but perhaps correctly. I have no time for anyone that uses violence or hatred in any form of debate. I do understand why many of you dislike or hate him, but I fear you are falling into the trap of losing the argument because of this......

He is speaking the truth though, both sides were violent, but for differing reasons. Why is left wing violence excused and right wing violence demonised. Anyone using violence is no better than anyone else using violence. To ever excuse violence in a public environment is to undermine democracy, free speech and civility.....

He's sympathising with white nationalists, racists and self confessed Neo-nazis. It's a false equivalency to try to compare that with people wanting to fight against people with those views who are willing to use violence to achieve their goals.

It was not a public environment or debate. War was officially declared, both sides fought as hard as they could to determine a winner. War was not declared in C'ville and is in no way a similar comparison......

Fact is these racists went to the streets to cause trouble. They were banking on trouble and opposition judging by the weapons they were carrying. Their leader David Duke said he was there to spread Trumps message and now Trump says some of them were good people.

So the majority of the country should just sit and say nothing then right?

You realize that's how dictatorships start right? People fearing their right to speak and protest especially if the leader of the country starts picking sides.

Do you believe that everyone on the right is a monster. Do you believe that everyone on the left is a saint. There are bad people on both sides, the reason for the argument is different, but I judge people on actions not words.....

My dad died years ago and he'd served in the Second World War . Wasn't really a fella interested in politics but if anything I suppose he was one of those old school working class blokes that'd consider themselves an aspiration Tory . However if anybody was to wave a swastika in front of him you'd be seeing him in a different light . For a host of reasons and completely correctly that kind of vile nazism & scummy fascism would send him off .

So For me for anybody to try and compare those scumbags marching and the others protesting against them just strikes me as ridiculous. I lost family who fought against fascism and people have every right to protest against them marching through their town .
