He has been punished simply due to the process distraction while he would ordinarily be focused on the campaign. Also the reputational damage.

Its no coincidence that the next time he is in attendance is 4 days before an important republican party event (its getting later here and i forget the name).

so you know wealthy new yorkers.
they get divided in to two pots, the self made ones think it's gone down hill, the inherited wealth not so much.
that's a fairly small sample size from a City with over 8m people (and thats just the 5 boroughs).
New York is a Democratic city, of course the Dems will do well but I fail to see how that proves it was a bias jury.
The defense could and did dismiss potential jurors. 5 jurors voted for Trump in 2020 and one had a Truth social account.
Trump himself was a registered Democrat from NYC not so long ago. He was convicted by a jury of his peers (gold toilets aside).

As for his inability to campaign, he cant have it both ways. He raised $39 million after the conviction and got a nationally televised daily stump speech for weeks.
As for repetitional damage, that ship sailed a long time ago.
Check out where his campaigns are this time, parks, beaches, apparently he stiffed most of the venues he used in 2020.
The mans a grifter at best.

As for me. Nope, dont live in NYC, Been in the Boston area for a while now so get down there every few months. The last time was with the kid, genuinely surprised how kid friendly it is as a city.

Crazy concept I know @Zatara but the people of New York may actually decide vote on other topics, local/federal /international.

Or, even more remarkable, may consider multiple factors in their vote.

Was joking about the election result and how it could be manipulated each way (it could though) to support different viewpoints.

That place looks like an alien spaceship just landed on the water and its roof came down.
 


This is what Biden is now up against. Here Trump is playing the macho, unrepentant martyr. Trump is making personal and political capital out of his conviction. Can Dems counteract this? Sure, but it's an added element of uncertainty in an already uncertain campaign.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. trump is now playing the macho card, kind of ironic seeing as he has never broken sweat in life.
