He is one of the few people who has taken a financial hit for holding public office. Most of the rest go from somewhere approaching upper middle class at the start of their political careers to multimillionaires. Some into the dozens or hundreds of millions.

I mean, this is first rate WUMMERY. Well played sir

Russiagate obviously hamstrung the Trump administration. There were Capitol Hill hearings on the matter, countless hours on prime time news, newspaper articles, FBI investigations, a Special Council appointed in Robert Mueller with all the legal might that brings. You don't think the Trump administration had to spend a massive amount of time & energy fighting back against all this? You don't think it took up much of Trump's focus?

No, I do not.

The FBI were using what the knew was Clinton campaign document, taking it as evidence to a FISA court, and not telling the judge it was opposition research. You don't think this little fact is relevant to a judge? The FBI were also using news reports they knew that came from the document and using this to once again bring to a FISA court.

You don't think the Trump administration had to spend a massive amount of time & energy fighting back against all this? You don't think it took up much of Trump's focus? You don't think that many moderate Repubs and Dems on Capitol Hill kept their distance from the Trump administration? Compare it to Watergate; for the 18 months or so of Watergate the Nixon administration was similarly hamstrung. Unless that is your suggesting the Nixon administration floated through Watergate unaffected until the very day Nixon resigned?

As already covered in the Durham report, those who lied about it were tried in court: two acquittals, one guilty. Not sure how I can reword this differently the 3rd time around. And in sentencing Clinesmith the judge noted, "“It is not at all clear to me the FISA warrant….would not have been signed but for this error" which indicates that it wasn't as relevant as you claim.

As to Trump being hamstrung, you have provided no evidence--none--to support any of the questions you pose. Then you bring up Watergate, bizarrely projecting some thoughts on to me, which I never suggested or brought up.

Perhaps Trump's most brazen lie and confirmation of his complete divorce from reality, is that he masquerades as a 2 index or something like that. All those times that he plays golf, and there's no way, looking at his swing and utter lack of ability to properly deal with adversity, that he could hold himself together for 8 rounds out of his last 20 in the low 70s.

My gut says if he actually had a real GHIN and had to put the ball in the hole, he'd be no better than a 12 index. And I think I'm being conservative there

Me: what an idiot, you'd think he'd have some staffer look stuff over before posting.

MAGA-cultist: This is brilliant and intentional, it brings him even more attention, it's 3D chess. He is totally crushing it. WINNING.

But obviously it is the DoJ, the FBI, the CIA, RINOs, Trump's former lawyers and appointees etc., etc., who suffer from confirmation bias.

Donald Trump, continuing to make the news cycle all about Him. The excitement he generates is monumental. No-one is modern US politics even comes close to matching it.
no other US president has been inpeached twice and indicted twice.
I wouldnt be bragging about some carpet bagging loon whos convinced you he's wearing the finest cloths.

I wonder if one day you'll wake up and realize your whole life view has been shaped by people who've figured out how to monetize stupid.

I don't think I have even mentioned legality or illegality of what the FBI did in my comments. You are the one hung up on that issue. My point has always been about corruption. And if I know anything about corruption( whether it be in government, bureaucratic or private enterprise) it's that the vast majority of it goes unpunished. 'Its not at all clear to me' is about a nothing a statement as you can get.

Where do I get evidence to prove the Trump Administration was hamstrung by Russiagate? Is there a spreadsheet available that accurately depicts how much more Trump would have achieved as President had Russiagate not taken place? Or, considering we are adults talking here, can we at least accept it required a significant amount of time & resources for the administration to fight the allegations during much of the first three years of Trump's Presidency? I brought up Watergate as it broadly resembles the Russiagate debacle. I could have brought up Iran/Contra or the Clinton sex scandals. None of these scandals made it easier for the respective administrations to function. Can we at least agree on this?
