It’s no different to Democrat cities allowing no go zones, defunding Police and allowing businesses to be burnt out. It just happens to be the latest example and in a very public place. Either way people are demonstrating, not in a very nice way, and from both ends of the political spectrum. There are no winners here, they are all as bad as one another...

It is significantly different, for a start there is no evidence that the election was stolen from Trump, there is that whites are treated different by police (as amply demonstrated last week).

Guys, I love America. I really do. I spent a large part of my life there and still have one of my children living there. I love it’s people, it’s honesty and it’s love of its country. It’s one of the very few places outside of the U.K. I would live. But right from the start of these threads, Trump etc, years ago, I felt that you were tearing yourselves apart over the selection of a President. And whether he was a pillock or not, I’ve seen in these threads an animosity, a breakdown, of the USA based on political lines. I am one of those that believes the USA is a power for good in the world. There are many that don’t. This continuous internal fight has gotten out of control and, in my own opinion, threatens your stability and ability to be the influence you are. Now some of you, well many in fact, will disagree, but that’s my view and I truly only want the best for you....

So essentially what you're saying is this: If Jeremy Corbyn did exactly the same as Donald Trump and incited an attempted coup on Westminster, you'd have him arrested. But if an obscure Labour-supporting member of GOT (of which there are many) found a perceived equivalency in something unrelated like, say, the Tories' mismanagement of the Covid crisis, then you think that Jeremy should be let off free so the nation can heal. Am I getting that right? Yes or no again would be nice here

PS Pete: Hundreds of people have been arrested for the riots and looting that happened during the BLM protests. Many times the amount that have been arrested for the assault on the capitol and likely to stay that way

I don’t think anything was stolen from Trump. I’ve no doubt there will have been anomalies but probably on both sides. I agree that whites seem to be treated differently by Police, as I think the are by all white police forces in all countries. My ‘both sides’ bollocks is really just an attempt to inject another viewpoint as there seems to be very few American Trumpers in here.....
