It’s easy to look at a map and think the divide is regional. The divide is really more urban/rural.
Not for nothing but this couldn't be further from the truth. It's divided by urban vs rural, the country vs cities. Almost every city in the US is heavily Democratic. Whether that is enough to make the state Democrat depends on the rest of the state.

Hell, I live in a suburb of a smaller city in America and our state rep or congresswoman or whatever she is is batshit insane. Like...she makes Qanon look rational. Why is she our person? Because the way our area is gerrymandered makes it so a massive part of our district goes in to hillbilly territory.

I know, it seems to me as an outsider, that one thing that has happened the last four years because of Trump and his “alternative truths”, and the internet with the conspiracy minded, it just seems that no matter how much information and data you can give these people, they won’t have it.
62 (I think) court cases in different states, many republican states with republican judges, have said there hasn’t been any evidence of rigging. They are blind and deaf to it.
