And even if they hadn’t been left these things they have had over three years to create their own, it isn’t like scientists haven’t warned about pandemics.
Vote red though, eh @Grinch ?

You raise a good point which is what leverage does the UK have over China? They have been undercutting us, stealing our secrets and making us dependent on them for cheap goods for two decades. How do we unwind that?OK its China's fault, its all china's fault. Now what? What to have a trade embargo or sanctions? It might work! After all I'm sure you will be able to cripple China's thriving double decker bus refrigerator magnet manufacturing industry and surely this will bring them under the heel of the mighty British Empire.

I'd think the first casualty has to be Huawei and 5G. That needs to be stopped now. Labour could do something useful and actually inflict defeats on the government with that if they adopt that position before the government. As for the rest of it, there not going to be any pain free way of disentangling ourselves from that octopus.

Build a coalition with the South China Sea countries against China, same with the African commonwealth countries that China is dependent upon for resources. Offer assistance and tax breaks to companies that relocate to anyother SE Asia country from China?
Well ultimately we will have to develop independence in strategic industries with all the supply chains brought back here, whatever the cost. Vaccine won't really be an issue for UK. We are a world leader for health and clinical research. We don't need China for that.China: OK then we'll just reroute this shipment of PPE over to Italy, fortunately Turkey has got an ample supply.
Plus China is supposedly well ahead of the rest of world in developing a vaccine. Its just they aren't making bold statements like America is for a one-time stock boost. And I'm sure they'd share it with you....eventually.
I haven't ignored it. When I have something to contribute I will. You have (perhaps conveniently) ignored my response regarding the WHO, which is a thread you started. I guess my additions to your timeline didn’t fit in with your agenda. Also: what do you think of the relationship between 5G and Covid-19?
I haven't ignored it. When I have something to contribute I will.
Aye, they've knocked it out of the park so far. Only 15-20% unemployment, the worst pandemic response in the world and a cryarse president who tweets in all caps
Sounds good. What do you think of the relationship between 5G and Covid-19?I haven't ignored it. When I have something to contribute I will.
Can you apply this philosophy a bit more before you post please mateI haven't ignored it. When I have something to contribute I will.
To be fair, 3.5% isn't the lowest of all time in the US. In the late 20's it was below 2% as it was during the last couple of years of WW2 and it was 3.5% or less in the early and late 1950s.To be fair it was at an all time low at 3.5% before the pandemic.

If that seems so long ago, for reference the last two years of Obama's presidency saw lower unemployment rates than at any time during Ronald Reagan's entire 8-year presidency.
Thanks ObamaTo be fair it was at an all time low at 3.5% before the pandemic.
... no chance.See here's exactly the problem. We need solidarity with all countries to fight back against China. We must not allow them to bully our allies!
China Slashes Australian Beef, Barley Imports After Warning Against Coronavirus Probe
China slapped an import ban on four Australian abattoirs Tuesday in an escalation of Beijing’s warning of a consumer boycott in retaliation for Canberra’s push for an independent coronavirus probe.
The beef ban comes just days after China flagged plans to slap an 80 percent tariff on Australian barley, bringing the trade to its knees.
