You seem to think I'm defending Trump, or that I'm sort of Trump fan.

I'm really not.

... and so on.

Has he done a good job on this or basically anything else? God no. All I said was that very specific clip was more embarrassing for those journalists than Trump. It was a terrible question, followed by an unfounded insinuation and then a bout of unprofessionalism.

And I'll also keep reminding people that no matter how terrible Johnson and Trump are, they're dealing with a situation that was ultimately caused by China. For some totally bizarre reason, people seem desperate to shield China from blame, and I believe it's because it's a politically convenient situation to bash Trump/Johnson with.
It's not about shielding or not shielding China from blame, it's about:

A. Making sure people of Asian descent who did nothing wrong aren't harmed.

B. Not allowing our leaders who have been completely in adequate to hide behind blaming it on China.

Yes, the people are too stupid to disentangle those minefields.

I think I'm going to like this game!

Who said this when talking about Barack Obama: “You got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

And this in favour of racial segregation... "I think the concept of busing … that we are going to integrate people so that they all have the same access and they learn to grow up with one another and all the rest, is a rejection of the whole movement of black pride, is a rejection of the entire black awareness concept, where black is beautiful, black culture should be studied and the cultural awareness of the importance of their own identity. "

And this... “You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”
Nobody's playing? Here's a clue, he's a democrat running to be President (and not of his care home). (n)

Why shouldn't they?

It's like someone having a truck of cow manure tipped onto them and instead of blaming the person who tipped it, instead blaming the person it got tipped on because he couldn't clean it up fast enough.

There's a weird consistent attempt to not blame China for this because it's more convenient to lay it politically on Johnson and Trumps door. I just don't get how people don't see the bigger picture.

None of this happened because of Boris Johnson or Donald Trump. That's an inconvenient truth for some. Their inaction and incompetence compounded the issue, but it wasn't they themselves that caused it in the first instance.

So when Trump says "blame China", it'd be nice if the media actually did, because they could then at least turn round and say "... but after the fact, your decision to X, Y and Z didn't help mitigate the damage" etc. without being disingenuous and using the situation solely to go on the attack.

You can't seriously look at the death toll in places like South Korea and New Zealand and think that the scale of disaster in the US and UK was unavoidable. Trump and Johnson have failed and it doesn't really matter who started it because they had enough time to respond correctly and didn't.
