Not that's what we need journalists to be like. Don't let powerful people just blatantly lie. Nail the slimey sods with facts and evidence. Hold them to account for their words and actions.
Agreed
Especially in this day and age of technology it should be easy for journalists to rebuttal any leader or spokesperson nearly straight away but time and time again we don't see them do this.
When they open their mouth and say something the journalist could easily fact check them or catch their lie if they used their crews to google or be ready to look up the data.
Sometimes i think especially in the US they won't because they may lose their pass to the white house or worse yet risk being fired by their bosses.
