no, the one he should get a pass for are the tweets linked from @Milkman - Trump's making a valid point here and i also see it in the IT world where complex algorithms are making decisions over actual peoples' heads.
it's a debate worth having. Let's look at the first tweeted replies to Trump's musings (and as always, there's someone spamming irrelevant off-topic anti-Trump bile):

Those same Apollo rockets which actually got men to the moon? Something no modern rocket despite all the computer tech has come close to achieving.

They have. Russia, India and China have all had research projects dedicated to getting their men on the moon, so far only China coming close with that unmanned mission.
The Apollos were fine tech, still unmatched in this here software age.

I genuinely don’t care what random people on twitter are saying, and trying to offset what the PRESIDENT says by highlighting a bunch of people who have zero power or influence (especially seeing as, well, it’s not like they’re miles off) is an exercise in inanity.
