How would you get a green card?
How do you file your taxes here at the moment?
And as a retiree, how would you be a net contributor?

Self assessment here in the UK July 31 and jan 31,
As a retiree my net contribution would be money going into your economy without me taking any out. Plus as I was aware if I did become a citizen and was using my rental earnings in the uk, doesn’t the USA have the right to tax me wherever my money comes from whatever part of the world?

Green card now that’s a question there seems to be a couple of ways, but not sure, JC Penny said they’d put me in touch with lawyers who have done similar for expats

mate, if you own a place in Florida, you have to pay property tax on it annually. If it's rented, you have to pay income tax on that income.
I'm sure JC Penny could find you an immigration lawyer and after the first $10k, you might want to stop and think about how US foreign policy has screwed up Honduras and maybe rethink your attitude to those crossing the border and self reporting for asylum.
Don't let your position of privilege dictate your view of what's right.

Yeah I pay a real estate tax, think it is 3% I do not rent out my villa, I let my Family use it also use local company who carry out maintenance for me at a reasonable rate. Apparently a gator has made a home in the community. Look US ain’t perfect, but it’s a lot better than so many countries, that’s why so many want to move there

Estate tax is inheritance tax. It's what your kids would pay on whatever they inherit from you.
Property tax is levied on Villas and in Florida it's not calculated by % but by sq ft.
add to that the fact that you seemed unaware that this tax is due in april
and I think it's reasonable to assume your talking out of your hoop.

I see you said 'real estate', doesnt change my opinion tho

Real estate value tax annually and 2 yrs ago paying it earlier they lowered my percentage the company who does my maintenance also looks after these Things for me, you absolute muppet trying to see if I’m lying

If you want correct terminology I’ll send you a copy of my annual bills from the company who look after everything for me..

what ever man. I find your story hard to take but to be honest, if it's true it makes no difference. I'm sure you'll find like minded Hannity fans in florida.

I’d come up with a better story than owning a villa in Florida, for the price of terraced house in the north of England you can buy such a better property in Florida. That’s the truth

You might be genuine and on the level but mate you have been all over the place and your knowledge vague at best. This for someone who owns property stateside and who plans to retire here.

Not only do you not seem to grasp whats going on in this fine country, but you continue to sound like you have made up your mind on who you will like and dislike and who is fair game to dismiss. Odd then that you would pick florida to live in.

I suggest when you do move to flordia immerse yourself with the latin culture and the latin people and get their opinions and not other (im guessing)white retirees or expats who live in the same condos or complex.

Also broaden your horizons on US news sources because as for someone who claims to have travelled the world you are very one tracked and narrow minded.
Judging by your own set timeline trump may not be president when you move here so prob best to look at all sides of the dice
