Donald Trump for President Thread

Just a side thought here for all the fear mongering people who think trump will do x y and z.

The republicans didn't really back him did they? SO what is to say that they won't back him going forward either? So any crazy or unrealistic policies can be stopped before even becoming reality, starting with building a wall.......

Perhaps donald trump will just go down as the most ineffective president in history, the one who did nothing of any note during his 4 years.

he can build the wall regardless, he doesnt need any laws or legislation in order to do it if he wants..

thats what one of the pundits said this morning on the news like..

its fear that's been created by the press in my opinion. As you say blaming rape on immigrants is pretty racist.

But as @CahillsCornerFlag pointed out, the press actively cover up some of the issues that have risen due to increased amounts of immigration.

His examples in Germany and Sweden are perfectly legitimate.

It's censorship to fit a view, whatever way you look at it.

Anthony Bourdain - Parts Unknown.

There was an episode where he went to Frankfurt, Cologne and Dusseldorf I believe.

One of the things brought up was the issues caused by mass immigration (the growth of the Nazi party in that area particularly in recent years).

That episode wasn't broadcast on national TV in the UK... All other episodes of the series were.

I'm quite a balanced person.

of course, those issues aren't all because of immigration, but people have to stop jumping on the racist bandwagon.

Call a spade a spade.

If a muslim man who has recent migrated from Syria has raped a women in Germany, then that man is a rapist - regardless of creed or religion or race.

Similarly, if a christian man who has lived in Britain his entire life has raped a women in Liverpool, then that man is a rapist.

The issues in Germany at the moment have been extenuated by mass immigration. There's no way it has helped matters. The Nazi party is growing, there is increased crime, and there are growing reports (and there is plenty of visual evidence of this) of large groups of men beating women in the street.

Of course, that's not all immigrants and anybody blaming it all on them needs a slap. But, equally so, anybody denying the clear issues needs to accept that, as it stands, other people's concerns are legitimate.

Neither. They just go away. Compare to the Obama administration, his former election rivals don't stick around and become a voice for the opposition, they just disappear.

No mate I'm talking about the rank and file themselves. Sanders = younger, more progressive, Clinton = older, wealthier, more elite. It was tense enough during the primaries and they will have a death match fighting over what direction to take now

I think the man's an utter pillock

Which is only more of a damming indictment on Hilary
Really? I'd say it's just as much of an indictment of anyone who voted for the vile, racist, misogynistic, homophobic narcissistic bigot, but more so of the Republican Party who allowed him to become their representative for the most important job on the planet.

Call me prejudiced, but I wouldn't ever want to be represented by a vile, racist, misogynistic, homophobic narcissistic bigot like Trump unless the only alternative was a proven war criminal (though I'm quite sure tear are plenty of Trump supporters willing to label HRC as one).

But both will now go away. Sanders won't run again, doubtful Clinton will, and the party nominations are determined by the consensus amongst the party voters.

Simply put, the democrats themselves will determine their next candidate.

You've demonstrated my point quite well here. Anyone that dares to stick their head above the parapet and declare "I'm not convinced we should be letting millions of poorly screened migrants in" instantly gets called a racist, as you've just purported to. People are fed up of being called racist whilst trying to be reasonable Bruce.

Immigration is great in many ways, but when done as poorly and haphazardly as it has been in Germany and Sweden, evidence suggests its not great.

Immigration quite literally is the fundamental building-blocks of the human race.

As you said though, there's nothing wrong or far-right about seeing and acknowledging the issues with it.

Bruce cited London as his case study, and the major cities.

Just like the US, in the UK that's what people look at.

'Well, if somebody in Liverpool thinks we should stay in, it must be right.'

I'm from an area of the country that - sometimes - feels like its been forgotten about. It's a major labour strong-hold, but it's a northern city that has been bereft of funding and development.

There was a brilliant article written at the time of Brexit which I will try to find, that summed it up perfectly well.

Clinton is/was a war criminal.

I'm not pro-Trump - it's mental he was anywhere near the White House in the first place - but people voted for change, just like they did here.

Trump won 'middle America'. That was always going to be key.

That statement suggests that there is something to be afraid of in other people by virtue of nothing more than they weren't born wherever you were born. We're all equal, just some are more equal than others...

So yes, I will call out people who feel the need to judge those for whom they have no knowledge whatsoever on the basis of their nationality, race, gender or creed.

Hopefully the world is now free of anything Hillary...forever. Just go away.

I am all for a female President, but she was the least worthy of any woman on the planet to justify that piece in history. Michelle Obama in 4 years? She has my vote.

Thank you Donald. President Donald that is

If anyone wants to wonder why this result happened, probably the best indicator was in that leaked Bill Clinton speech that was released yesterday:

“But what that is reflective of – the same thing happened in the Greek election – when people feel they’ve been shafted and they don’t expect anything to happen anyway, they just want the maddest person in the room to represent them.”

If you describe what happened to the Greeks as "feel they've been shafted" - a 26% fall in GDP, hundreds of thousands made homeless, huge reductions in pay and pensions, thousands of suicides and a near collapse of society - it doesn't suggest that you actually are on the side of the working class, so perhaps you shouldn't be surprised when they turn around and give you a kicking.
