Can’t say he tarnished the image of the club as Koeman had done that already, but he made sure no player would ever be interested in joining us after the season was over. Everyone looks down on us atm.

I will never forgive him for the latter part of last season.

Made me fall out of love about going to Goodison.

Depressing anti-football.

The only good things this slob did whilst he was here was excommunicate Ashley Williams after he got sent off at Turf Moor.

He is such a lowlife. I saw somewhere that he called Marco Silva "Mario" the other day when he was giving his opinion on the Richarlison deal.

Absolute slug.

Without doubt did the job he was brought in to do. Deserves credit for that.
But.
The football was disgusting to watch and his constant manoeuvring between blaming the players when we lost and taking the credit when we won made me stop enjoying Everton. Not even Walter Smith did that to me.

See I just hate this point of view. i.e. "he was brought in to ensure we did not get relegated and 'thanks to him' we weren't"
We could have picked anyone off this forum as manager and we shouldn't have gone down with the players available.
To say that it is because of him that we didn't get relegated is ridiculous. We didn't get relegated 'despite' him.
Your last two sentences sum up his tenure for many.
It is a pity we can't just erase him from our history instead of having dedicating threads to remind us of him.

In terms of on the field; he never improved our defending really, despite him saying he would and that being the thing he is "famous" for, as evidenced by heavy defeats against the better sides. Though it wasn't all that much better under koeman, the attacking football was absolutely diabolical too.

Off the field however, he signed Tosun and Walcott, two steady signings, and the Southampton home game and other games he was being booed off by the fans at half time and was literally pointing and laughing at the fans. Also his smug reaction to us nicking a draw at piss mountain too. Don't get me wrong, I'm so glad he's no longer our manager, but the WUM in me has to admire such incredible trolling ability.

Overall I'll remember his spell in charge as sort of a hilarious chapter in wider soap opera.

Nah, with respect, you're mixing speculation with fact.

"We could have picked anyone off this forum as manager and we shouldn't have gone down with the players available."

Speculation. Strange speculation too because I can think of many here who have proven to have quite bizarre views on football. As such, i wouldn't like them manning the ship. Naming no names. @Saint Domingo

But anyway, it's fact that Allardyce kept up us. So therefore when based on the reason he was brought in, he accomplished his objective. For that, I believe he deserves a smidge of credit.

I think he should come back as Director of Football or Global Ambassador for our club. He would be great at that. Flying around the world enjoying life’s luxuries and being wined and dined by the good and the great. It would be a true epitaph for a great man and richly deserved. It would make me very proud as an Evertonian for Big Fat Arsed Sam the total mercenary to represent our great club.
Sir Sam Allardyce rings well

Come on now Sam - surely you have better things to do with your time these days rather than posting on football forums?!
