Hope we move for Tuchel sooner rather than later, as Keown’s comment about Mourinho losing the dressing room has led to unrest amongst manure fans who are now citing an interest.

Think thats likely to happen no matter what. A striker (provided isnt woeful) will improve us loads but Allardyce is already talking about next season...

Hopefully it's nothing but bluster and it's just him talking a good job.

Not long now, before the booing starts again.

We're safe now and people rightly expect better footy now.

We have to buy out his contract in the summer-otherwise we are destined to be a bottom/mid table club in the prem. He only knows defensive and park the bus (which he does well but we need more next season)

The reason I have not included the Jan window is because he will be given funds now.

But we all know that his football philosophy will not change, with Sam he has a certain way of playing and that’s it.
Well we need to see who he brings in in January and how the side plays for the rest of the season first.

..I think the reality is that he will be here for a while. Very telling that after the game he said something along the lines of: “we have to be strong at the back because we’re not good at the other end of the pitch”. It is tergid, but it’s tergid picking up points as opposed to tergid and getting a thumping in every game.

We won’t be playing attractive football until the players available to him change considerably. I know posters like @bluestevon feel we can be more expansive with the introduction of Vlasic and Lookman, but remember that post-match quote about us having to be strong at the back. Perhaps he feels the introduction of Vlasic and Lookman will leave us exposed defensively.

I’m not particularly defending Allardyce’s approach but I think I understand it.

We need to get Tuchel in before Man United or Bayern Munich come in for him lol . Or if we can't get him, maybe we should pay 15 million pound compensation for another footballing mastermind like Marco Silva, as we would just be so much better off with him. Anyone but Big Sam like, it simply just cannot get any worse than what it is right now. It's a living nightmare, so it is.

the only money he should get is the compo to see of the last year of his contract, I suspect this was the plan all along, but surely will be confirmed to the board with games like yesterday
That's right I think. We'll finish midtable or lower and he'll have done his job. We must be "grooming" someone who has more of a vision.

No. This is me watching us under Allardyce!

Hopefully not, although a lot will depend on how he performs in the FA Cup. If by some miracle he wins it then he will get the second season, unless he felt that would be a good time to retire.

The only thing I want from Allardyce between now and the summer is that he leads a purge against the dressing room. I want him to tell most of the players in our squad, in the most impolite manner possible, that they have no future at Everton and would they please get lost. Jags, Williams, Stekelenburg, Martina, McCarthy, Besic, Schneiderlin, Mirallas amongst others - get out of the club.
