have heard she spends the morning filing and painting her nails and then the afternoon 'online shopping' for ladies things like shoes, handbags ETC

Maybe she could do one of those - " Real Housewives " things ?

The Real Housewives of Everton.

Where she spends all day getting her lips made to look like a duck, eyebrows tattooed on and gets a gravy tan on the sunbed, whilst drinking Krug and threatening to have people kneecapped on her Insta account ?

True, women are always infallible and should never get criticism.

Its way to early to judge her, but she did seem like the easiest appointment, not the best available.

says who? who is better? how much do you know about the requirements to be a CEO of a football club? she is a very well respected person in this industry and further afield

"Since September 2016, Denise has serve as a Board member to Sport England; the only representative from the world of football appointed to the Board of the national body for grassroots sports."

"Under Denise's stewardship, Everton in the Community has received international recognition for its pioneering initiatives and programmes - schemes which, collectively, have earned almost 100 local, national and international awards."

She has excelled academically to the point of being a Professor, has qualifications coming out of her behind, and is an MBE

Making out like she is some sort of jobs for the boys appointment (and this is aimed at everyone else being negative on this thread not just you) screams sexist and misogynistic intent tbh

slightly ashamed of some of you here

they gave Steve Walsh a job that argument is void

Difference is though she was promoted from within the club to CEO after 8 years, that's a long time to be able to judge a persons qualities (Walsh got the job on the back of a few good signings for Leicester) She started with the EITC stuff in 2010, then became the Club’s Chief Operating Officer in October 2011, promoted to Deputy Chief Executive in June 2013. She was appointed to the Club's Board of Directors in July 2016 and then named CEO in June 2018.

Thread reeks of misogyny.
....

Yeah you're spot on.

NO males at the club at boardroom level get criticised on here do they.

Embarrassed for you there tbh.

This is what made it such a brilliant appointment. No criticism of her, and thus the club, will ever get too far off the ground.

Great to see she’s increased revenue this year, well done......

oh wait she hasn’t, why the hell did she get the job?
What was she supposed to have done in such a short space of time ?
The majority of our income is from television and unless she can play in central midfield and can help drive us up the table into the top four then we will have to be more patient about how our turnover will grow.
Most important of all is a successful team.
The appointment of CA raises our profile as well.
Improved income from commercial activities will take longer as the club is probably already tied into existing contracts.

The one area that I can see enormous potential for improvement is in casual wear.

Most other clubs have all sorts of gear available, not even tied into the clubs familiar colours.
At Everton you are buying gear that is football related or items like training tops, polo shirts but there is a hugely limited range of casual gear available.
Non football people will buy casual gear if it is good enough and I cannot understand why we are so poor at it.

I don’t know anything about her commercial abilities, but I am sure the main plan for improved finances is the stadium, and that is progressing.
The next focus will be contract strategy and tendering for the stadium. There are huge opportunities to get good marketrates at this stage and save loads of money.

Silly post. Her sex has zero to do with this discussion. Noone said its a job ‘for the boys’, some reacted to the dumb, random claim that her being a woman had any relevance to her being critiqued.
Im ashamed of people springing to action, defending someone who doesnt need defending, as they havent been attacked. Theres not a single ‘she cant do this cause shes a woman’-comment in here. Shes a part of the club and her job can be commented on, just like we commented on Robert when he was in charge.

im positive to her, btw.
