I sometimes get confused by your points mate, im not sure what they are. Could we have signed Sandro for 25 mill, of course we could, should we have personally i would have no problem with it.

Why cant we compare it, one deal was better value fiscally then the other. I fail to see a problem with that.

In my head, you're basically saying: "Woah he cost £25m surely he should look better than that?"

Whilst also saying "Yeh, look how much better Sandro is than Klaassen and he only cost £5m!"

When in reality Sandro would be £30m+ in my opinion in this market without the release clause.

I see what you mean about how you expect a £25m player to light it up but my point earlier was this window is nuts and '£25m players' really aren't what they used to be.

I will be honest and say i was very impressed with Sandro, the quality can be seen from outer space. I think there will be a lower level on expectation with him because of his fee. But i do think he will be very successful.

I think fees do come into it peoples judgement and expectation mate it shouldn't be pound for pound but they do have an influence on judgement. I think that is just human nature. Same as Seamus Coleman was given two seasons to break into the first team without any quibble to develop into a world class full back. I remember Baines being lambasted on here and threads about selling him when it took him a while to break into the first team for a fee of 6mill. Like i said if Niasse cost 100k he wouldn't get half as much stick as he does.

Its a different argument to Klassen as a player but i do think based on the fee the expectation to crituqe his performance is higher because we have paid a quater of 100 million on the lid, i think thats fair.

Fair enough; guess we can just agree to disagree on whether price should be factored in these days. At the minute anyone signed whether £1m or £100m to me is just judged on how I think they will perform if that makes sense. Hence I like Bolasie and get confused why his price is always brought up like it even matters. Same with this £50m Sigurdsson stuff.

..currently 10-1 for top Everton scorer with Bet365. Bit of a daft price considering we're likely to bring in another striker.
Won't be but will get 10 plus I reckon. People writing him off way too early. Seen enough in 45mins to know he will get into the box n get chances

Two Euro experts on Talkshite saying he's over priced and ill suited to the Premiere...we shall see.
Yeah listened to that. Can't say I know much about the lad to agree or disagree with them. There main bone of contention is that he won't get the same space afforded to him in the premier league as in holland, which we all pretty much knew. More worryingly they said he was a 10m - 15m at most who really should have been a target for a bundesliga team!
On a more positive note, they did like sandro, Keane and Pickford, but thought we needed a more physical presence in the team (which we all knew anyway) but they were complimentary about our youth DCL and Lookman who weren't even bought this window.

That's weird though, because from the limited times I've seen him play, I'd say one touch passing and ghosting into the box are 2 of his strongest attributes, neither of which are exactly time dependant!

Klaassen is the quintessential team player. He will not drive past 3 players. Instead he will one touch pass and get into great spots to receive passes. If you want to build a passing team he is ideal.

It also means he will get criticized from those who only see the flash, and don't see all of the little things adding up.

He should have scored 2 easy goals on Thursday, and didn't purely because his teammates didn't make passes they should have.
