David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

I know I am in the minority but I really hope he gets a proper shot at the job, really don't think Ancelloti, Tuchel etc would be in for the long haul and we haven't got the money to smash into the top 6 quickly with big signings, so we need to give some of these excellent kids a chance to play and grow.
+1 ;)

there is no rush to get a manager through the door. We're only 9 games into the season, not 9 games remaining so we don't need to panic and bring in a survival specialist like some are suggesting. If we're approaching the likes of Ancelotti or Tuchel who are available and they fancy it then great, it may get done quickly, if it's a Marco Silva or (good help us) Dyche then there would be lots of negotiating to happen first so let Unsworth have his chance to impress and if he does why not give him a few games more. He can't do any worse than RK and until January we're stuck with this squad... at least he knows the younger lads and what they can add to the team.

I think those who now expect an influx of under 23s into the team are going to be disappointed.

I think we may well see James McCarthy get a game , Mirallas also and I think Niasse must feel now that he will get a decent chance. I think that he will play more experienced players and players up for a/the fight.

This is the big league now for David, he is fighting for his future. When he took temporary charge last time he knew he was not a contender, this time he is and must make the most of it.

Putting untried youngsters into the team will not be the way forward for him. It will be fascinating to see where it leaves Sigurrdsson and Rooney.

If it doesn't work out for him who do we blame ? Gonna lose tomorrow anyway, so we need 3 points versus Leicester and Watford. Wish him luck because he'll need a shedload of it.

Imagine if Unsworth puts out the same starting line-up in the same positions as Koeman did on Sunday
doubt it he has a footballing brain - I watched his under 23 team beat Chelsea on breakaway defensive football 3-0 Hazzard was playing for chelsea - Niasse led the line well - the speed and movement was light years ahead of RK - he won the under 23 league against the odds - RK sent 8 players from that team out on loan - so with a depleted team he has still managed to apply the basis of fast football !
