David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

Surely he’ll go back into the u23 setup once a new manager is announced?

I would hope so but like others have said he seems to have had the wind knocked out of him. Would younger players still look up to him in the same way? I guess some would put in more of a shift thinking he is a manager in waiting, which tbh we all thought a few months back. Perhaps a sabbatical year or two would do him good, will he be the same ever again when he returns, I don't think so.

Yep. That's the problem. He can't sell or bin anyone, even though you know he sure as heck wants to.

I also can't believe he's THAT tactically naive. The players are clearly not following orders.
I am starting to wonder about his team selections and what he thinks he is going to achieve on the pitch with his teams.

Always a problem when you think the right man is in charge of the different age teams.
They do a good job but, they're ambitious and want to try the next level but, if they fail can they go back to the previous successful role?
If, Unsworth has to move away, I hope he gives Barton a dig on the way out, as some of the stuff he's posted is ridiculous.

I genuinely feel sorry for the man. He looks like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders, in a situation entirely not of his own doing that he has walked into.

What I'd do for four David Unsworth's in our backline right now.
I feel for him as well.
But, I don't want the man in the interview below managing on Wednesday.

Correct. I'm not even sure he wants to either to be honest. I think he's been traumatized by the goals we've let in in the past few days. I have a feeling when he shakes the hand of the new manager (whenever that may be) his overriding emotion will be relief. And of being let down by the Board.

I am sure he diesn’t want to be managing on Wednesday night either.

It is not his fault Moshiri and co. can’t persuade a decent manager to join us.

Whatever about him being the living embodiment of the Peter Principle, he has taken this poisoned chalice to try and help the club out and supped from it willingly.

If you are bringing in a big time manager, wouldnt they pick their own youth coaches? You'd want them learning the same tactics so they could easily fill in as needed either now or in the future I would think.
