David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

For over a week now Unsworth and Ebbrell have been telling people at that they won’t be here much longer in their current roles.
Think they’ve lost all motivation and feel like they’ve been shafted.

But if he loves the club as much as he says he does, a bit more passion wouldn’t go amiss.
They don't love the club more than us fans. They're well paid and will just as easily move on to another club as you or I would change jobs if the dosh was right and the opportunity better. If they feel shafted then my cynical football radar tells me they have already downed tools. The players will know this too. Trouble is that until a new manager is installed this is likely to get worse, even at Goodison.

Unsworth rarely used his technical area, and should have been encouraging the players. He got on his feet and punched his chest when we equalised. What does that actually mean?
His chances of the job are not good, and for me, totally out of his depth.
Don’t think he expected to be thrust in for 6 games with a shower of cowards who have lost their way, by playing young lads like Kenny and Beni. This shows his belief in the young lads over established players. I’ve seen zero desire from absolutely any player on the pitch in months.

There is something very, VERY wrong in the background at Goodison.

Christ. Imagine the pair of them on the touch line, they'd have someone's eye out.

A couple of weeks ago one of Phil's fingers was on eBay for sale and it said

BNWT ( brand new with tag)
Genuine Phil Neville finger as seen pointing during 2010/11 season for Everton Football Club

You could bid or buy now for £9.99 and £2.90 postage

7 days passed and not one bid. He hasn't re listed it yet the mule

BTW to the poster who stated he felt sorry for Rhino, you should never ever feel sorry for a footballer at least not those from the late 80s onwards. That career offers opportunities, wealth, travel and support that the vast majority in the real world will never receive. Wages, boot deals, sponsorship, advertising, umpteen add-ons, PFA membership, post-playing career training and pension..the list goes on. They are fine.

Absolutely spot on.

A load of totally meaningless gestures and words from Unsworth since he has been in charge but where it matters - on a match day - he has been useless.

PASSION. Pointless. At least we won't have to suffer him much longer

Any ex player from the 90s involved at the club needs binned off with immediate effect.

Unprofessional weak minded specialists in failure who have issues with drinking culture. Bin them all right off. No other club employs people simply cause they're an ex player. It's disgraceful jobs for the boys. Like Jeffers is managing the 23s. WTF???

Get more Nevs about the club and less Frannies. It's embarassing and pathetic.

Spot on. I can imagine the job can be stressful but doesn't that go for most of us? Only difference being we're one missed pay cheque away from the breadline.

This. You'd think they'd want to win games and stay in the EPL, but they just do not give a toss.

And honestly, I would never want to do Unsworth's job, no matter how much money he's on. If I was Everton's manager, I'd either be sectioned or dead.

I guess you weren't that arsed when Lennon had to be sectioned. I mean, he's got money, that'll make all his mental health problems magically go away, right? I mean it did for Gary Speed...oh, wait.

Millwall, Liverpool and Swansea?

What's that now; something like 21 goals conceded in 7 games? Players seeming unable to understand and get the basics right. Some players underperforming but still getting chance after chance whilst others are constantly being left out in the cold. The Board not appearing to know what type of Manager they want to bring in. I'm really at a loss as to what's going on at the Club, I've never known anything like it.

I felt for David Unsworth today, he looked near to tears when big Joe was having a word in his ear. But it's just not working for him, and I only hope that he doesn't lose so much respect and credibility within the Club that he is unable to return to his U23s job when the time comes.
