Pretty sure Martina would be nowhere near the 11 for start. I'm also pretty sure Davies and Jonjoe would be in the 11 week in week out. And Niasse would play from the start considering he's scoring at a clip of about a goal ever 14 minutes or something.

I think Unsworth has proven with the U23's that he can make a player better through his coaching, that is the foundation of a good coach. The next test would be his ability to manager grown up Prima Donna footballers. I think he would have the dressing room onside initially and we would need to see where it went from there. Given our current squad a lot of the potential to be unlocked is in the youngsters so could be a good move.

Take over short term in fact who will be trading the players tomorrow?
Surely Unsy Ferguson and big Joe will hold the team together along with some under 23 players tomorrow !

3 things: 1) Unsworth commands respect by being who he is. He's tough but jocular. He has more than one side to his personality 2) he actually knows how to coach and make players better. The problem with guys like Koeman is they have a hard time understanding why everyone isn't as good as they were as a player. 3) He's passionate about Everton, and everyone at the club knows him already. And the players know the supporters love Rhino more than they love them ATM so good luck not playing your ass off for him and see how that goes down.
