2025/26 David Moyes

…..66-1 with Hills to be next manager to leave his post, only Arteta at bigger odds of 100-1.
If you talk to non-Everton fans they think we would be insane to even consider getting rid of him. The West Ham supporting cabbie who drove me to the match on Saturday was also full of praise for Moyes and deeply regretted him leaving. I live around lots of West Ham fans and that’s a pretty much universal feeling in my experience.

Funny that, because my mates a utd fan and can’t stand him. The woman who walks my dog, her dad’s a Sunderland fan and he also has not time for Moyes . And my boss’s, cousins, best friend has just been to Sociedad on holiday and they despise him, banners everywhere apparently

I live down south and most Hammers fans I know appreciate what he did for him but they had had enough of him and wanted him gone, the football was horrible too watch at times and they had more than few heavy beatings. Under him they conceded more goals in a single season than they ever had before. They always speak well of Moyes but many had grown tired of him in my experience.

Also we’re a bigger club than West Ham. I don’t think they have ever won a league title. Our aspirations should be a lot higher

….in the last 24 hours both Grealish and KDH have come and said how much they love being here. Grealish calls Moyes a legend. I’d think 2 footballers who have played for some of the highest profile managers on the planet know what they’re talking about.

There seems a brilliant atmosphere on the playing side, credit Moyes.
Like what else they would say? They are on the payroll…

But without any European football its harder to attract players that will improve your squad and keep the better ones you have.
Yeah of course it is, my point had nothing to do with how beneficial europe would be to the club, everyone wants it.

My point was that certain people possibly have a ulteria motives behind it.
We do have people on here that will be forever blinded by our manager..
As much as they would like the chance of europe, it would also provide them with an extra bat to beat the man with if things don't turn out rosy.

We already have probably atleast 50m out the door come summer, and thats not including Jack situation.
We than have to address Fb's and striker as a priority. That's a pretty hefty amount just to fill the gaps in the first 11.

We need a pretty damn impressive window of ins and outs.

Bring it on though, just dont want to be reading pages after pages of crap blaming us for not being fully prepared, if something like league positioning takes a hit..

I wonder how many Roma fans on their forums wanted to keep Ranieri??, who not only steadied the ship he got them to 5th and TFG still made a change

He wasn't sacked though, was he? He was signed up, out of retirement, in November until the end of the season where he then moved upstairs.

Moyes was hired as our manager until 2027, so would need sacking, which he isn't being if he finishes 9th.

Your arguments are getting more and more bizarre. I've already stated that I think Moyes is a better manager than Dyche. But if you can't see that managing the club with a negative net spend of £74 million is a different situation than Moyes's management of the club under TFG then there's not much hope for you.
Yeah they've both done a good job in the circumstances. Dyche was right to hold his hands up and go when he did. His magic trick was the season before... Those points off... Yet he kept us up with an iffy squad, routinely in relegation trouble. Mentally that was formidable, but grim for regulars at Goodison.

Dyche's performance kept everton premier League, would TFG and Moyes even been on the cards with relegation?

Moyes probably more astute yes, weird table this season gives us a semi-surprise shot at Europe. We must take it, to improve our recruitment options. This will be a BIG achievement and balance the cup runs.

Overall on the Dyche / Moyes thing I actually think they share the same weakness:

- lack tactics to create more chances and win more games
- ultimately similar CV's that show value, culture ( promotion and prem survival etc), but short of silver.
- relegation at Forest would be a MAJOR blip for Dyche, that team has some good players. Horrendous owner though, totally brought in their woes trashing nuno. Classless.

Absolute leader of men is Moyes:

Following on from his nonsense about Dibling, here he is on Tyrique George:

“I am seeing a bit of him which I like but again he’s a young player. He’s still a young boy. So, we have to be careful and we don’t expect too much from him. It is not as if we are getting a Jack Grealish.”

If this doesnt underline his desire for experienced players above all else then i dont know what does.
Only a week today did we bring the lad in, but no let's throw the lad under the bus already and say the sun shines out of his backside..

Stop paying so much attention to voices to the media, and rather voices to the players.

As with Moyes in general you can look at it two ways. One is that he's trying to take pressure off the players and himself. The other is he's a miserable git and constantly talks down the club which is damaging. I'm in the second camp to a degree, I don't want the bs of a Martinez, but I do want a more positive outlook from the manager.
I would rather watch football and have points in the bag than watch a press conference..

Football or Media 🤷‍♂️
