2025/26 David Moyes

I dont even consider you anything other than a low level Dyche hater at this point.

Why do you hate him so much...and what happens when Dyche isn't an issue anymore? šŸ¤” 🤣

I’m definitely a Dyche hater. Loving Margaret Thatcher and dragging the standards of our club down so low we were told 17th was our level and we had no right to expect any better are among just a couple of the reasons. Oh and then there’s the whole kopite thing. I could go on and on really.

Last January (21st to be precise) you were having a go at the owners for not sorting out our threadbare squad. We beat spurs on the 19th Jan with that squad which you described as threadbare. Despite us fielding 11 players and having 5 senior players on the bench.

We've had £110M pumped into it since then and lost a lot of tat.

No comparison.

Mate, check out what Moyes had been telling the media for the last week and a half about expectation levels over Christmas given "we dont have the squad depth", "we're short of numbers".

I wasn't saying that, he was.

He did what he ALWAYS does with Everton: manages expectations - even after he had a huge investment in the squad in the summer.

Moyes acts for Moyes. Never forget that.

We all know what he did when he left here for United. He took the piss out ion this club. It's always him selling Moyes. And any player or club that gets in the way will be thrown under the bus.

Ilm counting the days until this Judas leaves the club. Again.
You really need to let it go mate.
Just chill , and enjoy yourself for once. It's not always bad supporting Everton.

He does, but to be fair - he did ref he wants us in Europe and he reaffirmed it last night by saying he wants us in and around where we are now come Feb/March. Or something like that.

He did caveat by saying if we lost we could be 15th mind.

My biggest gripe with Moyes will always be his knife to a gunfight - belief is massive in sport and it has to start with the manager.

He is what he always has been. An objectively good manager who more often than not gets near to the most out of players and is the ideal manager to take a team circling relegation (which was absolutely us) towards top half and maybe pushing top 6/7 with a bit of luck.

He also continues to frustrate with some weak performances in the tough games, when lesser teams have troubled said teams far more. It's a mentality which will prevent us from truly getting to where we want to be.

Nothing I've seen in the last 12 months has changed this view, both the good bits and the immensely frustrating bits. Very pleased with the progress we've made, but it's possible to be pleased with that and also recognise Moyes isn't the long term answer.

I think he needs to be looking for a number 10 for when everyone is healthy. Whether he goes with Dibling, Dwight, Charly, etc. we should be looking for our guy while we still are missing our players. I certainly don't think Rohl is the solution there. I guess you can make an argument for Garner or Tim but I think it has to be one of the former 3 mentioned.

Dibling would probably be the most exciting if Moyes can get it out of him. He did some clever stuff today so I don't think it is out of the question. Charly is the most direct and at his best he is always a problem. McNeil has consistently proven he can create in the 10. We can't have him be a passenger though. I hope Moyes doesn't sit on his arse and waste this stretch. No more O'Brien at RB.
I wondered about this the other day, I reckon Moyes would sign KDH again if he could, one for AM and one for CM. It's the ability on the ball and the strength of passing. I mused if this was why he (D-Hall) was practically playing 3 positions at once and occasionally had us hampered.
Alcaraz has been problematic with gifting away possession in dangerous places. I wondered if it was a concentration thing, but it might be that other managers have charged their DM with closing him down asap and denying him time to get his decisions made.
For Moyes, he's been vindicated a few times over - O'Brien looks like he's played CB in the PL for a decade. He's epic strong. With the midfielder of the season out (KDH) Garner stepped up and applied himself to a MotM display. The knives were out amongst the foolish because Dibling wasn't playing, yet all of a sudden he's in and working well. It's as though there was a plan to cover Ndiaye all along. Also of note, Grealish who has been unwell got a cameo last night to help his manager out. Nice to see the year out on the up. 28 points, level with Sunderland who the foolish proclaimed as having had a wonderous summer transfer window. 12 months ago it was all the players fault for not responding. And having taken them as for as I* can. What a fantastic turn around.

I sincerely hope you realise how ridiculous you sound. If not then that’s worrying.

Cry more, your gaffer has taken his second spanking in the space of a month to Sir Dave with even Patto being able to rub it in his face this time

This is a thread about David Moyes. You're being reported and rightly so.

Please take obsessive Dyche posts to his thread in world football.

Agree mate. I hope he can keep us top half of the table which would be progress on the two previous points totals - 12th, then 13th.

i mean sunderland still have, they were a championship side their base was a lot lower than ours

but yes agree moyes is doing a great job and shown why hes been a top level manager for so long

Well done Davey,out-masterclassed the master class merchant.

Hope he keeps the faith with some of the fringe players when we get everyone back, as they need to play, he can’t just revert to his favourites.

I still think his ceiling is too low for us long term, but my god there's not many better around at pulling off a grit-your-teeth-and-dig-in performance.
This is it.

He did a magnificent job last season and has done a really good one this. But, as a mid-table side, we are going to have some rollercoaster moments: appalling at Burnley, ultra-efficient last night. What will Brentford and Wolves bring? You'd have to be disappointed with less than four points from those from this vantage point. Can we get four or more? Even so, as pleased as we would be, he must approach the Sunderland game with full intent. People talk of his ceiling - it's largely self-imposed. He cannot play team selection games with that match - not if he wants to convince people that we could actually win things with him (which HAS to be the mid-term aim).

For now, though, we have to be pleased.
