2025/26 David Moyes

Nearly a full 12 months he’s been back now. Not been perfect and there have been elements of his management that have frustrated me, but it has been quite clearly the most enjoyable 12 months of Everton we’ve had since that first run of Carlo.

He’s done a very good job and it’s been nice to look forward to Everton and frequently be made happy by them.

I love Moyes, but he doesn't exactly overpraise the squad players does he? The best they get is a pat on the back for how hard they work, but he almost always says something about how we lack quality. I wonder what it must be like for the squad players, knowing that he really doesn't rate them?

Not saying he's wrong, we do lack quality, but I'm not sure I'd be saying that at every interview if I was the manager of a team.

Seems to be working whatever he is doing .

Much prefer it to Bobby blowing smoke ip the backsides of players that aren’t that good and being told how amazing everyone is after losing a 1 goal 92nd minute lead to lose a match

If it's a 'winner' it's because it's true.

How is it not the truth when Moyes has been calling this squad threadbare but we go away and do that?

It was always the Big Lie that we couldn't win with players unavailable.

Remember when Drenthe had a session just before the big match against LFC and was dropped. The result was a forward line without any threat. Why then was Jack the Lad allowed back in the fold after a bigger bender in public?

He went out over Christmas on his days off. He's since been suffering from a virus.

What are you talking about?

Because he didnt go on a bender he had the flu you absolute ape.
Don't see the issue if it's several days away from game and not straight after match.
Having watched fair interviews of him now just before and after matches, he is a bit whimsical by nature, others would need a few to be like that if at all. Reckon he gets a lot of accusations because he is just playful. The high on life type...

Drenthe brought some randos into the training ground hot tub, at night.

Bit different to going out for Christmas then catching a bug.
