2025/26 David Moyes

Moyes is doing more or less the same as last year but he had loads of money to spend plus an improved Ndiaye, a free Grealish and KDH. He is doing "fine." The biggest mark against him is the cup. Judging on the lack of improvement in results, we should not re sign him. It is that simple. It was fine to compare his results to Dyche last year. This year with Buku money to spend, Dyche isn't relevant to that conversation anymore. We should not compare him to a bad manager. He is smack dab in the middle of the table. Average.

Sunderland on the 10th is an important game for our season, imo.

And the top quality ones tbf.
Kind of middling performances with the middle teams.
Every now and then we'll pull out a good result against one of the big boys at home but the dropped points against the poor sides has been a feature for us for years. I always feel pretty positive about games against the Fulhams and Brentfords but always worry we'll then give Wolves their first win of the season!

quiet clearly you where missing a point, that’s why I asked what your point was! But thanks for clarifying!

You said this

If you’re comparing Moyes to any other manager we’ve had, then by simple mathematics Moyes has been manager for 12 years, a lot more than any other manager by a mile?? By all the metrics you point out, it’s impossible to not be top of them lists simply by game played! But don’t let facts stand in the way of agenda!

I pointed out this wasn't the fact.

You then asked what my point was.

My point is your wrong, and that's a fact.

Nowhere near full strength for the Leeds and Burnley games but this is still pretty shocking

Yea, when ever I even slightly question Moyes I get "we've only lost to CL teams" which is fine if you're battering the promoted teams.
My biggest problem with Moyes is he just drops too many points. That would be fine if you can steal points from some of the better sides but we don't really do that either. You either take care of the trash or you steal some results. We will never be more than average if we can't accomplish one of the two.

He had lots of key players missing today...

But doesnt excuse the persistence with dour tactics.

We do not run at teams, our build up is so slow. I watched Burnley turn defence into attack in seconds, meanwhile, I watched O'Brien stand on half way line, with Dibling given acres of space... yet stands still, switch it to Mykolenko & McNeil, and every other player.

static. 1 dimensional. Long pointless balls. But we do it every week.

I just feel really deflated, in what feels like every week.

We wont progress with him in charge, and i just hope we aren't sleeping on looking for replacements come season end... even if we do scrape Conference League
