No one is saying to fire him. Only that theres going to need to be certain improvements or end of the season there may be a chance to upgrade.

Neither do I. It seems to shift and change depending on where we actually are. We were 7th a few weeks back and people were crying that we weren’t in a CL spot because the league is so poor. In pre season the overwhelming consensus was that we should be aiming for top half with an outside chance to push for Europe. Now that that’s more or less exactly where we are, without our best defender for the whole season, it’s a disgrace and the manager should be sacked.

But even that’s weird ain’t it? Don’t like him because he… erm… inherited a relegation haunted basket case with no money and Gazza running around the training ground with his undies on his head, and turned it into top half and European regulars going deep into cup competitions?

He’s the manager that has picked the standards up off the floor at this football club TWICE, he is certainly not the one that’s lowered them.
